Prologue

A topless car speeds down a barren road surrounded by large open plains, it’s dark orange with black stripes going down the hood. In the rear seats of the vehicle sits a large pile of weapons that are haphazardly stacked so high they nearly tower above the seats themselves. Through the chaotic mess various guns, swords, and countless other weapons can be seen. In the passenger seat is a female wearing a brown hooded cloak that covers most of her body except for her eyes and her hands which are covered by large metal gauntlets. Driving the vehicle is an unimpressive looking man sporting equally impressive looking clothing with his only notable feature being a sword on his back. A massive cloud of dust follows the car, created by a horde of chimera, the perverted spawn of magic and scientific experimentation. They sport claws, fangs and great maws but most the most terrifying part of them may be the fact that they are nearly able to keep up with the car. A giant chimera emerges from the cloud and begins trampling the smaller ones beneath it.

Noticing this the driver makes a gesture with his hand and the female pops up from her seat. She places one foot on top of the seat revealing a black laced boot and grabs what appears to be a rifle of some kind. She holds the rifle up in the air, it grows four times larger and slams it down on the end of the car. She looks through the scope and begins firing, each shot tears through the horde of chimera with ease and after only a few shots she has slain much of the horde. Next the aims at the large chimera and fires tearing a hole from its head to its back killing it instantly. The great beast falls and crushes many of the smaller ones beneath it. More chimera bear down from every direction seemingly out of nowhere so in response the girl drops the rifle in the pile of weapons and picks up two smaller weapons. She begins firing lasers at the beasts, but eventually narrows her focus to the hordes in front and behind the car in an attempt to keep the path clear as well as prevent the horde behind them from catching up to the car. Above them a cloud of flying chimera appear from the dust and plunge toward them like rain falling from the sky. The girl fires at the flying beasts rendering the horde to little more than chunks of meat. As the chaos begins to close in on them she makes a final trade to a large automatic rifle, she fires ripping the horde surrounding the horde asunder in a flurry of explosions that very quickly clears their path.

In the distance an even stranger monster stocks them, an ever-changing mass of tendrils through which two eyes stare at the vehicle watching as it draws further and further from it. At once it launches itself toward the car and within moments has closed the distance between them. The monster extends its tendrils rapidly, dragging itself forward in a near incomprehensible manner. The girl fires at it riddling it with explosions but to no avail as it continues forward unhindered. She throws down the gun and retrieves the oversized rifle from before and fires three shot into it. With each shot the monsters tendrils wrap around the shells and throw them to the side, though this doesn’t harm the monster it is successful in slowing it down. The man notices the trouble the girl is having with the monster and begins reaching for something behind his seat. Four swords are situated directly behind him each hilt by his head, he fiddles with each one looking confused while the creature gets closer. Finally, he stops and grabs the sword on his back apparently only now realizing it was there. He set’s the car to continue driving automatically and stands up in his seat ready to fight the monster. The man pulls his sword from its sheath just as the monster tears into the trunk of the vehicle. It lifts itself off of the ground rooting itself into the car and reaches out toward him with its tendrils, he hacks away at them rapidly, not allowing any of them to either entangle him or his sword. He continues cutting away at the monster until he finally sees something inside of the tendrils that appears to be the monsters body. He grabs one of its tendrils and pulls it towards him piercing the anomalous monster. The creature screams out and spasms before falling limp in his hands afterwards he just throws it off of his sword and it quickly disappears in the distance.

He puts away his weapon and drops back in his seat while more chimera appears around them. The girl pulls a short sword off of her waist, she raises it to her side and it extends and grows until it is nearly the size of the car they are traveling in. She begins leaping across the vehicle slashing the creatures as the close in seemingly with ease as though her weapon is weightless. She continues fighting until she notices a large horde of beasts in front of them. She jumps onto the front of the car and slams her sword into the ground creating a wedge. The man throws a magic item to her that she points just over the man's head, the object releases fire that propels the car even faster. They smash their way through the horde with ease sending the monster flying in different directions until they break out.

The female wipes her gauntlets quietly while the man continues driving, he looks at her.

It seemed like you were having fun, he says smiling at her to which she does not respond or even acknowledge him.

You know of all the different weapons my serfs have had over my life I thinks yours is one of my favorites.

Still no response from his companion, so he turns back towards the road and begins tapping his finger on the wheel nervously. As they continue a loud noise begins emanating from in front of the female that catches their attention.

Oh shit, now’s a hell of a time for this? he exclaims, open the glove box and get whatever’s making that noise out. She does so and pulls out a strange device and hands it to him. He stops the car, do you know what this means? he asks staring at her as she stares back at him blankly. The man stares back at her entranced for a few moments before shaking his head and snapping out of his daze.

It means that we have to go to the orb of Adrostian, its power is overflowing so I have to drain it.

He pauses for a moment while she continues staring at him, damn, he mutters under his breath. He hurries out of the car and begins throwing the weapons from the back seat, open the fucking glovebox and look for a stone with an eye engraved in the center!

While she searches he clears the seat of everything having thrown out his swords, guns, a shield, a hammer, a few axes, a spear, and many smaller items with various uses, but unable to find the stone he seeks. He runs over the girl pushing her back in the seat and searches the front of the car frantically but to no avail.

Damn it! Where the hell did I put it.

The man is panicking, but he manages to calm himself down rather quickly and begins collecting everything and throwing it back into the car.

Well we have a few days so I’ll just have to see if anyone else has it or knows where it is.

He prepares to start driving but hesitates, "shit I don’t remember how to get to Adrostian’s last stand. Well I guess we’ve got a few places to stop by before we really need to get to the orb so let’s start by visiting Libidine.

The pair finally set out on their quest, first they must meet the self-proclaimed emperor Libidine Ira. They make it outside of the barren plains and enter a land of lush vegetation where grass grows seemingly unaffected by the horrors that lay just a short distance away. They stop and rest for the night, the man puts up a magical barrier to stop anything from attacking them while they sleep and they set off again in the morning. As they drive the man tries once again to communicate with his companion.

So, did you sleep well?

He places his hand on her shoulder to which she pulls away from him to which he takes offence, you know I practically raised you from birth so I don’t know what it is you think you have to be shy about. I’ve bathed you, I’ve fed you, I’ve trained you to fight and you’ve been with me all your life. So I don’t know what the deal is with your attitude, but I’m getting pretty tired of it, I get you can’t talk that's fine but at least respond to me in some way.

She looks away seemingly ignoring him while he scowls at her. As they continue on the man sees a sword in the distance glowing beautifully while a beam of light strikes it. It sits atop a rock that it has been presumably thrust into.

Hey that’s a cool looking sword.

He turns off the road and drives to the rock, I wonder what it can do. They get out and approach the rock, the man does so in a very lackadaisical fashion while the female approaches cautiously holding her hand by her sword. She waits below while he climbs the rock and watches as he pulls the sword out with ease and begins swinging it.

Aw this thing a piece of shit it can’t do anything, oh well he says as he swings the sword downward accidently breaking it against the rock. Oops, well that's what you get when you craft a sword purely for its aesthetic rather than for practical use, it’s a shame too it was such a pretty blade.

He slides down the rock when at once the ground shakes and trembles and a terrible monster arises from where the broken sword lay. It sports a terrible maw with wild eyes and tentacles grow from its sides.

Ohhhhhh it was a seal, and what’s the deal with the tentacle monsters, we just fought one yesterday.

The monster grabs him as he continues complaining and swings him helplessly through the air. The monster attacks the girl, but she uses her sword to block the monster’s tentacles. The monster wraps its tentacles around the sword in an attempt to pull it away and they begin struggling for the sword.

Hurry up and free me so I can kill this fucking thing already.

She raises her hand and uses the sharp ends of her gauntlets to slice the tentacles off of her weapon and runs towards the monster. It attempts to impale her but she jumps above the attack and runs up the tentacles to the man cutting him free. He hits the ground and picks himself up. While she faces the monster cutting away at it with ease as he casually walks back to the car. The man pulls out a large handgun and begins firing on the monster. Each shot is a ray of energy that erases large portions of the monster. It screams out in pain while the girl retreats to the car, it follows her and tries to kill them both. Before it can catch them, the man pulls one of the swords from his car, flames enrapture the blade and with a single swing flames spurt out and engulf the monster leaving them victorious. They drive away leaving it’s smoldering remains to blow away with the wind.

The self-proclaimed Emperor Libidine Ira

While traveling through the grassy plains large walls come into view. Ordained with ornate designs of men wielding large powerful shield made of gold and silver that truly captures the eye of the beholder. They drive a pair of large doors at the center of the walls, above the door Kingdom of Beatitudine is inscribed with gold. The two exit the car walk up to the doors and the man yells, open the door and begins pounding on the doors causing them to rattle.

Who is this, a deep powerful voice asks from the other side, Drasin he responds. No response comes for a moment, Drasin the hero? the voice asks excitedly with a noticeably higher pitch. Drasin is taken aback for a moment, yes? he hesitates as the doors open. A large man bulking in muscle wearing a bronze helmet and chest plate, pteruges around his waist, manic on his arms and greaves on his legs. The man looks down at Drasin staring in awe and Drasin watches as an uncontrollable glee comes over him.

Lord Libidine has told many stories about you but I certainly never thought I would get to meet you! he says while jumping and squealing.

Well here I am, he says as he opens his arms as if to present himself which the man mistakes for wanting a hug. The man lifts him into the air much to Drasins dismay.

Woah man stop stop, the man drops him oh I am dreadfully sorry I thought you wanted a hug did I hurt you?

No, I’m fine just uh where is Libidine I need to speak with him.

Oh uh, he coughs and clears his throat, come this way. he says
