Mummy, can I paint my holy eggs today? You said I could if I was good. Jaelyn asked as she hungrily ate her porridge. The little girl gazed out of the kitchen window to the chicken pen at the bottom of the garden.

Jaelyn’s mother, Angela, finished pouring a large glass of milk and placed it carefully on the table. I think you can, Jaelyn, as you have been really well behaved this Easter week…..unlike your sister, Mia. Her bedroom is a mess and she hasn’t helped me this week with any chores at all!

Angela collected the little straw basket and neatly folded a red and white cloth inside the wicker work. "Here you
