About this ebook

I started writing these guides because I used to get extremely burned out in my old job and couldn't even handle finding and booking a hotel and flight or finding what to do when I did take time off (I could never have handled trying to plan a trip with the kids too!) So, I thought "wouldn't it be awesome if someone would write a guide that just gave you one perfect escape; the perfect hotel, spa, flight and restaurant." So that's what I did.

I was lucky enough to live in Paris in my 20s and it's one of those cities that you can never "do", there is always more to experience. This is a very special guide as it was a trip I took with my two nieces (aged 11 and 12 at the time) and although we had a perfect escape it was daunting even trying to find an appropriate hotel for the three of us, and a little scary trying not to lose them, especially at night by the Eiffel Tower!

I hope this guide helps you to give your kids an incredible Paris trip.

    Introduction

Hi there, I'm Pearl Howie (aka Pearl Escapes) and this is my guide to visiting Paris.  I was lucky enough to live in Paris in my 20s and it's one of those cities that you can never do, there is always more to experience.  This is a very special guide as it was a trip I took with my two nieces (aged 11 and 12 at the time) and although we had a perfect escape it was daunting even trying to find an appropriate hotel for the three of us, and a little scary trying not to lose them, especially at night by the Eiffel Tower!

If you're interested in more about travelling with teenagers (they are now 15 and 16), look out for my guide to the Florence area, including the seaside towns Livorno and Viareggio coming soon.

I started writing these guides because I used to get extremely burned out in my old job and couldn't even handle finding and booking a hotel and flight or finding what to do when I did take time off (I could never have handled trying to plan a trip with the kids too!)  So, I thought wouldn't it be awesome if someone would write a guide that just gave you one perfect escape; the perfect hotel, spa, flight and restaurant.  So that's what I did.

Taste the rainbow of macaroon flavours at Fauchon.

Relax and enjoy your shower as the kids wonder at the exquisite details of your perfect Parisienne hotel room.

Take a break from sightseeing and take a water slide (or let the kids splash while you soak up the sun outside).

Teach the kids that pancakes can have ham and cheese inside (or spinach, chicken, tomatoes...) as well as lemon and sugar (or chocolate ice cream).
