About this ebook

Supernova’s Jubilee is a series of rhyming novelettes for adults and sophisticated children. This first installment follows a purple race of people who reside inside the Moon through the Cassini crater. They have colorful powers that shoot from their hands and they visit Earth frequently to collect popular items for their moneymaking attraction, Museum Earth. After a purple visitor crashes on Earth they are forced to give their power to an Earthling as a last resort to escape danger and be transported back to the Moon. The now powerful Earthling accidentally disintegrates a young girl’s parents and it’s up to her to find a way back in time to save them and stop those events from occurring.

    Dedication

For my wife, the real Princess Elle. Thank you for being both my biggest fan and my most dedicated kick in the pants. The inspiration behind my writing has always been your unwavering love and support acceptance of my relentless rhyming. You’ve watched me wordsmith since before we were married, before we had two beautiful children, and before we graduated high school. Thank you for not running out the front door screaming. I love you more than all the moons in the sky. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, and For-Elle-Ver.

    Chapter One

Do you know that Earth is the only planet to not speak in rhyme? In fact, some of your most beloved English writers were taught the art of poetry from those not of this world. I myself have called Earth home since I was a child, but for my people the act of connecting similar ending words requires no lesson. We’re born with it. Our brains are hardwired to think in lines of fourteen syllables made of seven iambic feet. For the English scholar this is iambic heptameter. More simply put a collection of this writing style is considered a fourteener. I was told by someone much wiser than I that my experiences must be shared with the people of Earth in this very style. The following isn’t my first story, or even the most significant. While for numbering purposes it’s listed as 1, this is just the only place in the events it makes sense for me to start. I must warn you that rhyme outside of your planet can be abstract and downright difficult to follow, so I’ll be here to help along the way. It must also be known that there are those who don’t want me to share these stories. At some point they will force my writing to end. Until that day comes my friends, I hope you use these stories for good. Know that they aren’t fantasy or make-believe regardless of what section you purchased them in. Labels are created to trick your mind into deciding what something is before you’ve made that assertion for yourself. Same with people for that matter. You might hear me called crazy or worse, but read my words and find where they connect in your life. Find the things once labeled impossible and see how they could very well be true. To that end, we begin…

Before the humans walked on Earth up sprout a stouter race,

Proud purple palette persons perched in nearby outer space.

See hidden plain of sight quite like the Little Dipper
