About this ebook

Imagine a day that just seems ordinary. Not that being ordinary is a bad thing. Now imagine the ordinary is replaced by something incredibly out of the ordinary. In fact, something that changes the world.

Author David Thulin describes such an incident in his book Dragon, Awake: A Plane Disappears—A War Begins—A World Rejoices. When a plane takes off in Japan, no one aboard suspects there is anything noteworthy about the flight. Well, no one except for the pilot, who is about to play a role in an event that create a new world. What begins as an ordinary takeoff becomes a story of old enemies becoming friends and countries reunified, and how miscalculations can have a massive impact.

Dragon, Awake: A Plane Disappears—A War Begins—A World Rejoices is an exciting novel for teens. You’ll enjoy an adventure that will change the world as we know it.

T hings were normal in every important way. Even though it was raining, the loading of the aircraft went on without slowing down. The staff was used to subpar weather. Cargo was first, then bags. This was to ensure that the bags were first off. If the bags needed to be unloaded, they would be relatively easy to find.

Inside, it was more of the same. Everything proceeded just as usual; people started gathering at the gate. Many looked outside. The Boeing 777 was singularly beautiful and wet. It looked confident. The fact that the heavy rain did not affect airport operations had a calming effect on nervous flyers. In reality, sucking in water was beneficial for modern aircraft engines, and the equipment used for loading was well prepared against skidding.
