About this ebook

We live in a broken world full of evil, sin, sorrow, and pain. Our great adversary the devil loves to keep us trapped in bondage and torment, even using our own thoughts against us. Sometimes it seems like no matter how hard we try, we can not break the chains of negative thinking. It gets so dark sometimes that we can not even remember the scriptures that we have studied. Sometimes we need help drawing the Sword of Truth to defeat the enemy in these dark times. This little book was written specifically for the purpose of having some “go-to” scriptures to meditate on to break the chains of bondage to negative thinking, dark thoughts, depression, criticisms, coveting, unrighteous anger, and any thought processes that are not from the Lord. The enemy can't stand to listen to God's word. Fill your mind, your heart and your mouth with the word of God and the devil will flee.

    My prayer for you.

Lord Jesus, I pray for every reader who picks up this book and looks at these words. I pray that You will break the chains of darkness that have hold on them and set them free in Your Holy Spirit. I pray that You will hold them close to Your heart, that You will heal their minds, their bodies, and their spirits by Your divine touch. I pray that You will touch their lives deeply and fill them with Your Holy Spirit manifested by unspeakable joy, peace that surpasses understanding, and love overflowing. I pray that You will bring them to a new level in their spiritual walk with You, and a new understanding in all that You are working in them and through them and for them. I pray that You will pour out Your blessings on them and rescue them from the claws of the enemy that they will be truly free in the redeeming power of Your love. I pray that You will use this little book to help them through their difficult moments to achieve victory in areas of their lives that the enemy has been thwarting them, and that they would see and feel and recognize Your divine presence, power and involvement in their lives every day. In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.

    About this book.

We live in a broken world full of evil, sin, sorrow, and pain. Our great adversary the devil loves to keep us trapped in bondage and torment, even using our own thoughts against us. How to use this book

The idea behind this book is to have handy scriptures at the ready to chase away the enemy during a moment of spiritual attack.  Sometimes, when we are in that dark frame of mind, it's too hard to find a meaningful scripture in the depths of the Bible. And sometimes it seems like prayer isn't helping enough. Prayer truly is powerful. Prayer is our lifeline to God. And we should pray without ceasing. However, prayer is only one piece of equipment in the armor of God. We are commanded to equip the full armor of God. The word of God, scripture, is our sword, and we need it to be successful in spiritual warfare. Sometimes the enemy seems to be able to disarm us making it difficult for us to be able to recall scripture we have written on our heart. So this book is our backup weapon. Keep it handy for quick access.

When you are feeling spiritually attacked, when you feel overcome with dark thoughts or negative emotions, when you feel like you need a little spiritual help to be victorious in the daily spiritual battle, use this book. Open to any page and meditate on the scriptures. You can also use the table of contents to find a group of scriptures that address particular areas of hope, life, and truth.

This book is not meant to be an exhaustive source of scriptures on any topic. Please consult your full Bible and Concordance for an exhaustive study on a Biblical topic. This book is just meant to be a quick reference for emergency use in spiritual battles. It is meant to be a tool to help break the chains that are holding us captive to the things of this world, and the darkness of this world, to set us free in Holy Light.
