    A couple of years ago, a family of Canada geese was flying back north after spending the winter in North Carolina. Bernie, youngest of the flock, was supposed to fly behind his older brother for the whole trip home to Canada. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan. With Bernie, they rarely did.
