About this ebook

Infinity encompasses every number and fraction known to man. This is true whether going in a forward direction or going backward, however, when trying to incorporate the stand alone zero, which is one of the known numbers, there are some people that tend to get so scientific that God is left out of their equation. This means, that the very people that cannot believe in a, so called, invisible man in the sky, have somehow managed to convince themselves and others that everything in our universe sprang forth from nothing. Others have reasoned that there had to be a beginning, therefore, they state that everything must have started with a big bang. The problem with this theory is that there could never have been a big bang unless there was already something or someone present to do the banging! Who, or what, created the big bang?
In this book, we shall take a detailed look at not only the 1,260, 1,290, and 1,335 days of Daniel, but other, more subtle numbers that are used in the numerical language of prophecy.

    Introduction

Numbers have always interested me, not complex algebraic type equations, but rather, those little curious numbers that ask you to take a closer look, or ask you to listen more closely to what they have to say. Certain numbers arouse my suspicious nature, or more accurately, they tap my inquisitive side as if using a twenty-pound sledge hammer.

Mathematicians have always said that the number zero is an odd number. The reasoning was very simple and quite convincing. All through the numeric system, odd numbers follow even and even numbers follow odd. One number up from zero is the odd number of one, and one number down from zero is the odd number of minus one, therefore, common sense dictates that zero is an even number. This way of thinking, while logical, is not true. The number zero, when standing alone, is neither odd nor even, it purely equates to absolutely nothing! That is why the zero, out of all the numbers known to man, stands apart; it speaks to us!

In this book, I will be using numbers from the Book of Daniel and from the Book of Revelation. Some of these seemingly mysterious numbers such as, 1,260, 1,290, and 1,335 days, stand out and demand our attention, however, there are other numbers, some that are much subtler, that should also be looked at in the light of scriptures.

In the Book of Daniel, the prophet says that a messenger was delayed in coming to him for one and twenty days. See if you can find more examples in scripture that discuss 21 days, I could not. To me, this makes 21 a curious number.

When you see that this same messenger came to Daniel on the 24th day of a month, once again, the information is so precise that it bears a closer look. If the messenger had come on the first or last day of the month, perhaps it would not have seemed as noteworthy.

In the Book of Revelation, the two witnesses lie dead for three and one-half days, once again, that is very specific. The two witnesses will not lie dead for three days, nor for four days. They are dead for exactly three and one-half days. This half of a day is what sets the mind to thinking.

The number thirty, is an integral part of end time prophecy. Though this number is not explicitly stated in end time prophecy, it plays a prominent role throughout the seventieth week of Daniel.

From the days of creation, to the day of the return of the Lord, simple numbers help to tell the story of what God has done, and what He will do. Mathematics is not just a language, in truth, it is a significant part of the language of God.

    The Hebrew Calendar

The known history of the Hebrew calendar goes back to a man named Hillel 2nd. He probably had little or nothing to do with developing the calendar; however, he is given credit for the unveiling. I say, the known history, because, no one is completely sure of the time of the calendar’s origin. Some say this calendar goes back to the days of Moses, and that it was given to him by God. There is much more that could be learned about this, and other calendars, but for the purposes of this study, a basic understanding is all that is required.
