    Sherry (Good-Bye I)

    Good-bye.

    So final.

    An end to everything.

And I didn’t even get the chance,

    To say it.

    But you didn’t have time.

    And I understand.

    On the outside.

    But deep down,

    On the inside,

    It hurts.

    It hurts so much.

    Yet I know,

It must have hurt you too.

    I know it hurt you.

    I love you.

    You’d say.

    I love you too.

    I’d reply.

And maybe it seems a little ridiculous,

    But I feel bad.

Because I never said it first.

    I’d always wait for you.

    Now you’re gone.

    And still I wait.

    For you.

    To write.

    Call.

    Or come back.

    I miss you.

    Sherry.

    September Sorrow

    I once had a friend,

    But now he’s gone.

    I once had a heart,

    It’s dead.

    I once had a tale,

    But now it’s told.

I once had some sense in my head.

    I did something wrong,

    Something I said.

    It happened all too fast.

    I bottled it up,

Like a lock on a door.

    Hidden deep in my past.

    The forest I walked through,

    Was once deep and green.

Now it is black and decayed.

    The blessed white dove,

That once flew in my head —

Now is cursed, old and afraid.

For my destiny, deep in the woods...

The woods of life — perhaps,

    Is only a bud,

    Hung on a tree,

    In a multitude of leaves.

    I once had a friend,

    But now he’s gone.

    I once had a soul,

    It is gone now too...

    Do You Really Care?

    How do you feel,

    About todays’ world?

Do you like the polluted air?

And how do you feel about inflation?

    Do you really care?

    We once had a world,

That was bright, brand-new and clean.

But now the world’s being ruined,

    By all the man-made machines.

And if we want to stay here,

We’re going to have to act real fast.

    So everybody lend a hand,

And help us do this task.

    We can save our wildlife,

And we can save our air.

We can save this world of ours,

    If we really care.

So reach out to one another,

And we’ll clean up this land.

Yes, we can save this world of ours,

    Just lend a helping hand.

    How do you feel.

    About our power?

Do you like our nuclear bombs?

And how do you feel about our water?

    Do you really care?

    We can have a world,

That is bright, brand-new and clean.

We can fix this whole world up,

    By ruining all the machines.

And then we all can stay here,

But we’re going to have to act real fast.

    So everybody lend a hand,

And help us do this task.

    We can save our wildlife,

And we can save our air.

We can save this world of ours,

    If we really care.

So reach out to one another,

And we’ll clean up this land.

Yes, we can save this world of ours,
