This book is for all those who dare to step outside of their comfort zones and strive to create and achieve the life of their dreams, hopes and desires. It is also a book for those who are very humble to learn from other people irrespective of creed, race, and gender, but identifies with universal body of knowledge beret of dogma and slavish adherent. For all those who want more, expect more and believe in more and continue to strive for more with persistence, dedication, determination, honor and integrity.

At the Beginning

This is my story, entirely my story.  I started, discovering some of the principles of life very early in life. Some I discover just by observation of events, occurrences, actions and behavior of older and elderly ones in my environment.  For example, the discipline of daily prayer was ingrain in me by my father because we do it as daily routine at home.  I also practice, childhood piety and faith in Almighty God on a more passionate level from white garment church believer, a lady that stay in an adjacent apartment to my family when I was about 8-9 years of age.  This lady that was said, to have lost her husband some few years before we met her, she had a very a peculiar young handsome boy which was always well taken care of, hence I have a liking with this young boy, this lead to my interest in the lady. This lady had a particular regularity and routine pattern of prayer time. I am particularly fascinated that she had a particular part of her apartment dedicated to her religious activity with a candle lighted whenever she   wanted to pray. 

I did copy and pattern my own prayer time to her routine of 6:00am, 12 O’ clock and 3:00 pm every day with a candle lighted in a selected particular section of my mother room. This actually occur during  one of the challenging health issue that my mom had that seem to take some time to heal  even after some initial admission in the hospital.  

I miss the care and availability I had with my mom. This prompt I, to set some time apart, also to pray for my mother quick recovery as I had initially observe with this white garment neighbor of ours.

I continue with this style of praying for some time after my mother recovery to pray about my academics, which is the only paramount concern to me then.  This is purely to retain or move ahead in my class in the first, three top positions in the class in my school. I was very successful in this exercise.

I also join the choir of my church, prior to this time, participation in choir rehearsal; I fell in love with the cassock and other items of clothing that at use for different occasion.  I was always fascinated with the choir procession match into the church at the commencement of every service especially when a visiting Bishop is part of the precession with some high caliber visitor to the church such a Military Governor of our state being part of the exercise. I felt awe at the solemnity, harmony and order of these religious activities.

It was then a great privilege for me to be among the graduating class of my primary school which was an Ionian school formerly, belonging to the church.  A prayer program was put together for us by the school management and the church authority to assist us in preparation for the primary school leaving certificate examination. For a period of six weeks in a particular selected day we attend a service program inside the church auditorium conducted for us.

This conveys the importance our school teachers and the church attached to ingraining in us some spiritual ethics for future application in life. It was not specifically stated but the awareness and consciousness, that life is spiritual was explicitly communicated, supernatural intervention in the life occurrence is a possibility.

Discovering Self

Why I my in this world? What I my doing here and who are my? What am I here for? Why are there so many and vary challenges in the course of life in this world. I believe you also would have ask yourself these questions sometimes in the past or it is currently the big question that need answer in solving critical issues of life pertaining to you. This is my story, this is my life, and it is my journey through life and my life discoveries along the path of life. When we are young, very young several questions and thoughts come to us based on several things that happen to us. I went through what I will call pain and suffering, hunger and non availability of some things which we consider as simple necessity of life. There was a period of time when I was in the primary school when I desire so much to have a hymns book. I love the songs we sing during the assembly at school that I desire to have a copy of my own. It took me several morning of having to refuse to go to school to convince my father that this was a serious issue. I have to wait for my father as he rides his bikes to work, crying profusely at a particular location along his path to convince him that this was a serious request to be met. To me this was a difficult and challenging exercise that I need to go through.  This then made me to start to ask some questions such as who choose my parent, my mother and father for me, why do I have go through them into this world, why I am elected to be born the in the particular locality, community, city, country I came to find myself, what relationship does all these bear to my success in life and purpose for which I intend to fulfill in this world and my generation?.

The Bible gave me insight into answering some of these questions, particularly who are I AM?  I believe there are situation in life that make someone to ask these questions. Let me let you in, into how I answer this question by myself. Let start from the known, the visible into the unknown and the invisible. There was a prophet in the Bible called Jeremiah. God started to talk to him from Jeremiah 1:4:

"Now the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying, 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee, and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee; I have appointed thee a prophet unto the nations".           --- The King James Version (KJV)

I take this same message as God talking to me, it becomes personal, and the same way he had talked to Jeremiah. He uses this message to convey this great important aspect of my being both to me and you right now. That means I pre-exist my coming into this world via my father and mother. God himself is aware of my existence and He stated so in the verse above. I believe it is very true. You need to accept and endorse it as true. This is one of the most important truths; its reality must be dawn in our spirit. It is the first step in our journey of self realization and discovery.

Lessons from Job

There is a story of man in the Bible too that also speak volume about this truth. The man was called Job. This was one of the richest men of the East, a man of Asia; he has a lot of riches in cattle’s and servants, lands and wonderful beautiful children and a wife. He was having a life of success according to its definition by the standard of that civilization then and now, but he was not a man of peace. He feared that his children would commit sin in one way of the other because of the life of riches which he was able to avoid for them, thus he make constant and persistent sacrifice on their behalf but it was not in faith in Almighty God but fear what the devil can do to his family.   This was one of the things, wrong thoughts and imagination, a virtual reality of impending evil can do to a man.

It came to a time when that which he was constantly afraid of, happen. He lost all his riches, children and all that belong to him in a series of calamities. This was exactly the word of Job himself in Job 3: 25-26:

For the thing which I fear cometh upon me, And that which I am afraid of cometh unto me. I am not at ease, neither am I quiet, neither have I rest; But trouble came -----King James Version (KJV)

This man Job was a success in all ramifications according to the civilization of his time, but he never knows who he really is? He thought that his riches and all that belong to him define his person, he was always afraid of the unknown!!!!!!!!. His three friends testified of his condition afterward when they came to visit to comfort him in Job 2:11-13
