Introduction
The name Zimbabwe is derived from an ancient ruined city in the south eastern province of Masvingo. This place used to be the capital city of The Great Zimbabwe; to date it is a tourist attraction. The real name is Great Dzimbabwe meaning houses of stones depicted by the stone wall which surrounds the city.
Zimbabwe is a land locked country and shares borders with South Africa to the south, Botswana to the south west, Zambia to the North West, and Mozambique to the east. Its land area is estimated at 390 757 sq.km. It has sixteen official languages, namely Shona, Ndebele, English, Chewa, Chibarwe, Kalanga, Koisan, Nambya, Ndau, Shangani, sign language, Sotho, Tonga, Tswana, Venda and Xhosa. According to the 2012 census, Zimbabwe’s population stands at just over thirteen million with an annual growth of 3,5 percent and Harare being its capital city.
In this book I will be talking about the nation of Zimbabwe, connecting it from creation, its formation and journey until today and also connecting with its future. To understand the history of Zimbabwe and the world we must understand how The Creator worked. And to understand what Zimbabwe is trying to achieve now and how it should build a highly developed nation with more decency, we must understand how we came to be where we are today.

PRE COLONIAL ERA
Prior to occupation of the land of Zimbabwe, the people who later became the foundation of its population migrated from one place to the other in search of peace and greener pastures. There was liberty to choose where to stay and how long to be there. They were raised by God the Creator of the universe to the foundation of what now is called Zimbabwe.
God gives life to everyone and everything, and satisfies every need. From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall and He determined their boundaries. Therefore it is not by chance that we are Zimbabweans, but it is by God’s design. Though there are numerous races in the world all men are from one blood.
In these foundational stages there was a lot of instability among the founding fathers of Zimbabwe as they were just moving around. In this process of migration, God was also making our forefathers to possess our boundaries eastward, westward, southward and northward. He also permitted them to explore the land in its broadness. Circumstances such as famine and war were major drivers for all the movements. This was a strategy that the only wise God was using in order
