Reviews for Open Data Now

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Joel Gurin presents an interesting introduction to and discussion of "Open Data" - the information that is, or can/will be. available to computer users for virtually nothing. The book is loaded with sources, detailed explanations of the types of data that is available right now, suggestions on how it can be used, and a plethora of information that readers can put to use for their own benefit. Guring is clearly enthusiastic about the subject - so much so that one almost gets tired reading his constantly upbeat presentation style. Of course, presented any other way, this material would become dry and unreadable. Plan on reading it in small doses, or focusing in on exactly what sort of resources you want to examine.
