INTRODUCTION
This book is designed for group bible studies, however you can certainly use it for individual study. This Study Book is structured with colored-print to capture the attention and interest of the reader: especially for young-learners and young-adults. Each chapter begins with the Chapter Objective, followed by KJV scripture, and concludes with the Chapter Summary and the Chapter Questions. There is a Glossary at the back of the book for your reference.
Note: I have revised this book since its first publication in 2014. Changes in ebook formatting, and publishing changes, have prompted me to improve upon this Study Book to make it better for the reader. While I have improved on the structure, the Second Edition retains the same information as the First Edition. The Chapter Summary
typically is at the beginning of the chapter, but I have placed it at the end because the first reading should be with an open mind and more for enjoyment. The second reading of the chapter should be more structured, and so I believe it is more beneficial to the student to read with only objectives in mind, then begin a more structured study of the chapter.

Paul wrote his epistle to the Ephesians while imprisoned. While it is not known exactly when the Apostle Paul was in prison, an estimate can be made from the scriptures.
• Paul was arrested in Jerusalem – [58 A.D., Acts 21:27 - 22:30].
• Imprisoned in Caesarea for two years – [58 - 60 A.D. ; Acts 23:23 - 26:32].
• Paul was shipwrecked on way to Rome – [60 A.D., Acts 27:1 - 28:16]. His first imprisonment in Rome – [61 - 63 A.D., Acts 28:16-31]. Paul was released from Roman prison in 63 A.D.
• Paul was writing 2 Timothy from a Maritime dungeon – [68 A.D., 2Tim 4:6-8].
• Also 2nd Roman imprisonment, trial and execution – [68 A.D., 2Tim 4:6-8].
The Apostle Paul spent a total of approximately seven years in prison, and wrote the epistle to the Ephesians about 61 A.D. during his imprisonment in Rome. The epistle was probably intended to be circulated among several churches. The epistle to the Ephesians provides Christians with a grand vision of itself, toward which it can continually grow.
The Gospel of Luke records that Paul sailed with Priscilla and Aquila from Corinth to Ephesus, then sailed for Syria leaving Priscilla and Aquila in Ephesus (Acts 18:20-21) where they met a Jew named Apollos who knew the way of the Lord and spoke with enthusiasm and accuracy about Jesus (Acts 19:24). When Paul arrived in Ephesus in the autumn of 52 A.D., a Christian community had already been founded under the leadership of these missionaries.
Paul’s activities in Ephesus were met with frequent and sometimes violent opposition. Although, converts were made, there was a strong pagan resistance to the Christian message of Paul.
In 1 Corinthians, Paul indicates that he was staying in the city ―For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries (16:9). Paul also says, – …I have fought with beasts at Ephesus,….
(15:32), a statement that has been interpreted literally and metaphorically. While a later tradition developed a story of Paul’s literal battle with
