When Julia met Ashley, the new girl on campus she already didn't like her.
Julia believed that Ashley was trying to take her spot. And she's willing to

Chapter 1

Daydreaming about Professor Allan again? Cassandra asked, jumping Julia from her thoughts.

No. Julia blushed slightly and took out her pen and notepad.

I think that you were. It must’ve been steamy, Cassandra giggled and took the seat beside Julia. 

Julia is twenty-three years old with long, blonde hair and light blue eyes. When she smiles, her full lips are every man’s desire. Unfortunately for them, she has had her heart set on one man since the first week she stepped into his sculpting class.

Professor Allan Hartwell has short, black hair and dark blue eyes that Julia can’t seem to tear her gaze away from. The way her heart flutters, she can’t help but notice the spark in his eyes when he’s talking in class.

Cassandra knew that she’s late for the third day in a row, but she’s hoping that Professor Allan hasn’t noticed.

Cassandra. What kept you this time? he asked, eying her as he sat at his desk. He is good with eye contact, and it almost feels like he can see right through the person he’s talking to.

I have no excuse except I woke up late this morning, Cassandra sighed, knowing that she has run out of excuses on the second day.

Don’t let it happen again. The moment we own up to our faults and stop making excuses is the moment we begin to learn. He smirked at her, marking her down on the attendance sheet.

I would take a chance before anyone else does, Cassandra whispered to Julia, feeling her heart racing just by looking into his eyes. Cassandra has helped Julia find out a little bit about their professor and she learned that he is single.

I don’t think that anyone wants to compete with me. It wouldn’t be good for their health, Julia stated, giving her friend a small smile, before they both turned their attentions toward class. All the way through, Julia tried to think of how she can get Professor Allan’s attention without looking desperate.

She wanted to be with him. She wanted him forever. She has desired a life totally different from that of her mother, Courtney.

It’s not until the end of class that Julia’s name was called.  She stopped partway through picking up her things, with Cassandra waiting for her by the door.

Julia, may I have a word with you? Professor Allan asked.

Julia was surprised that he wants to talk to her in private. She looked at Cassandra and saw the smirk on her face.

I will see you at lunch, Cassandra stated and left the room, closing the door behind her. Cassandra silently prayed that her best friend gets what she wants, considering she has secretly
