About this ebook

Matey Mate and Milldred come up against a truly baffling situation, one that at first, is completely unexplainable. The neighbourhood dogs start carrying out activities that in no way are how any dog should behave, let alone such a large group of dogs. It's going to take all Matey Mates powers of deduction; along with Milldred's input; necessary by her own unique way in pointing out the less than obvious, things that are often overlooked. Both dogs attempting to unravel the causes behind a situation which in their minds would soon escalate out of control. Besides wanting answers, Matey Mate and Milldred could not accept the fact that the neighbourhood cats were showing a more than usual air of superiority.

    So, we begin;

    Strangely every Saturday night for a month, more and more dogs on the street started howling for no apparent reason. They'd howl for precisely one hour, then strangely just stop and go back to whatever they had been doing.

    This was confusing for Matey Mate and Milldred as they didn't feel the urge to join in and had no clue what all the fuss was about with the other dogs.

    Several Saturdays ago, the combined dog howling stopped, replaced instead by all the dogs out on the footpath and balancing up on their back legs. They were doing little jigs and hopping around while trying to keep balanced. Just like the howling, this display lasted for exactly one hour.
