Chapter One
It was my nine-month anniversary at Global Enterprise Development Corporation. Edward Marsh was my boss. Charming, respectful, inquisitive and at times vicious Edward was just shy of billionaire status. International land development was how he made his fortune. A self-made millionaire with modest roots, he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He treated me with dignity and respect and valued my opinion. My salary as his assistant was unmatched in the marketplace. His sweet demeanor, svelte body and steely blue eyes had a cunning way of making me wet at the most inopportune times. Edward was 51 years old, 6'3" and still had all of his hair. He dressed impeccably. His suits ranged from Canali to Bottega Veneta on work days to Ralph Lauren and Oxford Clothing on the weekends. When he wore his high-end Clive Christian cologne, I always found time for masturbation breaks.
The private jet he owned, named Elizabeth in honor of his wife, had a tight but comfortable cabin. Edward's seat was in the back center of the cabin with two smaller seats on both sides. Jody and I sat beside Edward like lap dogs in heat as he pontificated pearls of business wisdom that we scribbled down at a feverish pace. The intense pace of our note taking was a way to slowly relieve our obfuscated sexual tension. Despite how charming and respectful he was towards us Edward was an alpha male who relished in his wealth and influence. The residual power we soaked up by his side was like sexual catnip.
Jody, the other assistant I worked with, was thin, athletic, arrogant and ambitious. Standing at 5'7" and 125 pounds her blue eyes and blonde hair could have landed her a supporting role on Baywatch. Our body types were completely opposite, although we were about equal in looks. The guys who actually preferred my voluptuous curves always told me I had a gorgeous face. Jody and I did not get along, but we behaved in front of Edward, for the most part. Edward was the kind of boss, who would fire you for petty behavior and we both knew it. He was fair and did not play favorites among us. We tried to gain advantages through our oozing sexual body language. At least once a week, I would wear my ultra-tight blouse attempting to show off my big girl cleavage. Jody would wear indecent short skirts that almost revealed her 'who-who' with each stride. He was either oblivious or impervious to our shameless tactics. There was never any sexual harassment. The job did kick ass for being one year out of college. I received two raises and a generous Christmas bonus since I've been with the company. Transcribing, proof reading, editing, tightening ties, reading articles aloud and at times giving sound business advice was all part of my job. We were always by Edward's side and being by his side meant traveling with him on his private jet. Edward had clients all over the world and since my start; I'd traveled to eight countries, three private islands and two US territories (Guam and Saipan). Expenses were always paid, and the benefits were fully loaded.
Edward's body guards James and Rick were focused, daring and a little psycho. James was an ex-Marine, and Rick was an ex-Army Ranger. Both in their late twenties decided private security held a brighter future than a career in the military. Edward made sure they were well-trained and ready to take a bullet for him. James' chest was easily 48 and standing at 5'8
his stocky frame cleared a path in a crowd within seconds. Despite James' brawn, he had a baby face with deep-blue eyes. Rick's leaner and thinner physique was my eye candy when he was in a tight undershirt. Rick wasn't as cute as James, but he had a well-defined jaw line. Rick had more scars on his face than James. Rick was a street fighter, someone who had to be aggressive to survive growing up. That made sense considering he was born in East Baltimore along North Ave, one of the roughest areas of Baltimore city. I got along well with Rick and James. I often felt my eyes wandering to their muscular bodies. A few times I was caught gawking red handed, but they only smiled and returned to their vigilant watch. They both travelled with Edward everywhere. Their seats were strategically placed toward the front of the plane in between the exit door and cock pit.
Tonight we were flying into Las Vegas. I loved flying into Vegas at night to see the warm glow of greed and capitalism in contrast to the dark desert at 25,000 feet. Moving to my seat, I swayed my ass in front of Edward like an open invitation barely disguised by a thin veil of proper etiquette.
Edward asked us, Would you ladies like anything before we buckle up for the descent?
Jody said, I'll have a gin and tonic.
Edward accommodated her and James made Jody the drink. Jody drinks like a fish, and she is not ashamed of it. She was always pushing the envelope when it came to drinking in front of Edward. I'm not sure if it helped her loosen up, but
