Sabarna Roy is the author of five books: Pentacles, Frosted Glass, Abyss, Winter Poems, and Random Subterranean Mosaic: 2012 - 2018 Time Frozen in Myriad Thoughts. A civil engineer by profession (he passed out from Jadavpur University in 1988), Roy spends his time on books, music, movies and international television series, when he is not writing or at work in an engineering-manufacturing organization in Kolkata. With no love for pets or gardening (although he loves forests and wildlife) or socializing, and a lot of time for introspection and deep (and not-so-deep!) thinking, Roy’s works reflect his views on the global order and individuals striving to find their place in it.

Dear Tulip:

You will be glad to know that I now have a technical book, titled: Articles on Ductile Iron Pipelines and Framework Agreement Methodology, which covers nine of my technical papers published in peer-reviewed national and international Journals. This book has been published by Scholars’ Press, Latvia, European Union.

The book attempts to elaborate the use of Ductile Iron Pipelines in Irrigation application, Gravity Sewer application, Wet Ash Slurry application, Restrained Joint application and use in Steep incline and Hilly terrain, Life Cycle Cost Analysis between various kinds of pipe materials, Feasibility of Recycled Waste Water for Irrigation, a deliberation on Framework Agreement Procurement Methodology and Emerging Challenges in Pipe Distribution Network based Irrigation Projects.

Sorry for boring you with unnecessary facts.

I am also working on my sixth literary project and have been invited to the Kolkata Literary Meet as a panel member to discuss about Dark Side of the Mind where I plan to take up issues related to postmodern anxieties. There are many other wonderful sessions with celebrated authors, which I will attend as a delegate. I hope to meet a few interesting people during the day.
