Introduction

THE CORONAVIRUS BELONGS to a family of viruses that can cause various symptoms such as pneumonia, fever, trouble breathing, and infection with the lungs. These viruses are common worldwide in animals but very few cases have been known to affect humans. The 2019 novel coronavirus was used by the World Health Organization (WHO) to refer to a coronavirus that affected patient's lower respiratory tract with pneumonia started in Wuhan. The WHO announced that the official name of the 2019 novel coronavirus is coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

And the current reference name for the virus is Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) severe acute respiratory syndrome. A swarm of patients with pneumonia of unknown cause was reportedly linked in December 2019 to a local Huanan South China Seafood Market in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. In response to the outbreak, a rapid response team was dispatched by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to support health authorities in Hubei province and Wuhan city to perform epidemiological and etiological investigations.
