Anonymous To The Rescue Book 1

Chapter One

The sky is a florid orange. The day is bright and spectacular, filled with the blazing beauty of the rising sun. The sound of jazz music echoes on the bus, waking him from his slumber. He has arrived in Lawrence, Kansas on this beautiful Monday in early June, aiming to do what he does best. That is, searching for problems and then solving them, of course.

He exits the bus and steps into the passageway. Surprisingly, he has no luggage, which makes him wonder. The only items he has with him are his Samsung Galaxy phone and an envelope, which he decides not to open until he gets settled down.

The street ahead of him is covered with gorgeous tall trees separated by bungalows and duplexes with electric fences and brick walls. The air is crisp and the surroundings peaceful. This is because most families are still in bed.

He breathes in the fresh air just as a text message comes through his phone. He isn't stunned when he sees that it is from Sacred Hallows, the administrators of his life. He has no idea if the Sacred Hallows is a person or a sect. Actually, he doesn't really care. Some things are better left unknown.

He reads the message: Campbell Bolton, Rocky View Inn

The Rocky View Inn is visible from the pathway, and he begins to stroll towards it.

He is pretty sure his name isn't Bolton. But, unfortunately, he doesn't remember his name. He doesn't recall any memory before the life he has been living for the last two years. He doesn't need a genius to tell him his amnesia is beyond his strength. However, he believes it is for the best. As the saying goes, 'Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise'.
