Why I Wrote This Book
I wrote this book to pass along some of the information I have gathered from schooling, my life experiences and other books I have read over the years. While I could have written a much longer book I decided to go with short and sweet to get the important information across to you. There are a lot of books, and it seems that many go on and on with needless words and explanations, so I wrote this concise book to give anyone who reads it a good and solid foundation to start you on and set you on a path to financial freedom.

Introduction
Personal finance may seem like a generic term, but it may mean many different things to different people. Some people think of personal finance and automatically think they are not equipped to handle the myriad of topics that could potentially fall under the term. Others think that no matter what it is something that they will never grasp no matter how hard they try. Others still will read countless books on the subject and may come to the conclusion that they need a professional to assist them in managing their finances. While no one of these examples is correct, not one is technically incorrect either.
Personal finance is an extremely broad and complex subject. Hundreds of thousands of books have been written on the subject, and no is not necessarily better than another. What is important is to read them and get a feel for what personal finance means to you and you alone. No one else can define what is and is not important to you in regards to your personal finance. Everyone has different financial dreams, goals, and understandings. The key is to find what it is you need in regards to personal finance and go from there.
In this book I will look at some of the more common aspects of personal finance and what makes them important. You may or may not need what I consider important, but these areas are key to understanding how to manage your personal finances. It is not the shortest book nor will it be the longest but it will be extremely useful for anyone who wants to put themselves in a better position financially.
While I have several advanced degrees, I do have one that is a Master’s of Science in Financial Planning. This was my last degree, and I write this book with my course work in mind and what I know from that which is and is not important in understanding how to be successful in your financial endeavors. Now I do some financial planning as a consultant, but that does not mean that I do not think that most people can, with minimal help from a professional, manage their own
