    What is developmental psychology? What characterizes the child's psychopathology? Where is the boundary between normality and symptomatic behaviour during childhood?

    This guide aims to answer these questions by introducing the reader to the subject and trying to transmit the body of knowledge that makes up evolutionary psychology in a simple but not simplistic way.

    The aim is therefore to offer a tool for knowledge and in-depth study that is pragmatic and accessible to all, thus creating the premises for further exploration of the subject through more specific texts. In order to succeed in this goal, we will first of all start from a deepening of the basic theoretical knowledge on child development, to continue with the methods of investigation used in evolutionary psychology, analyzing the different sources of the subject and discovering which and how many areas of investigation have contributed to the development of the discipline.

    We will then go on to deepen the different child psychopathologies and their characteristics, the symptoms useful to recognize prodromes and advanced stages, as well as the possible methods adopted for rehabilitation interventions. Child psychology presents itself as a fascinating field of study especially for its ability to explore the relationship between the development of the individual from a psychological and physical point of view.

    The analysis of these processes has led to discoveries that are often counter-intuitive, although it is constantly evolving and a source of continuous revelations. We can therefore say that developmental psychology represents both a great opportunity for knowledge and a
