About this ebook
The book describes how to use the maze on the floor of Chartres Cathedral as a template for further development in one's spiritual life.
Every labyrinth is a challenge - just like our lives. The Chartres labyrinth is a real gold mine of resources on the way to ourselves. Not only the walk inside, but every petal in the middle of it stands for a teaching that can already be found in the Our Father. If you walk through the labyrinth with all six petals and reach the middle, which stands for the essence and the source of love, you have completed a perfect spiritual exercise.

Foreword – Towards a Better Understanding
For many years, I tried to get my life under control, to be happy and to finally live the way I had always wanted. But, as is usually the case in life, everything turned out completely differently. If I thought as a child that adults had great and fulfilling lives, I now had to realize that my childhood had really been happy compared to the situation I found myself in. My behaviors and imprints had brought me to a point where I was in mortal danger and could do nothing other than change.
While on the path, which took years and was not always very pleasant, but was all the more successful for that very reason, I was accompanied by various people and thoughts. I learned from life counseling the principles of positive thinking and spiritual work and also, to some extent, the method that I later found confirmed in Kathleen McGowan's book The Our Father – Your Treasure Map to God.
I combined this with what I had learned during my training as a Reiki master and from a number of personal experiences. Along with my training as a spiritual life consultant, the result was an overall image that I successfully used with my clients as part of the coaching. Now, every child needs to have a name, and that's how the Chartres Method came about.
I myself believe in God, but I have my own idea of him, one that doesn't always coincide with that of the Christian Church. For me, the name of God is more a term for All-Embracing Love, the Universe, and all positive energies. I am convinced that almost all these terms mean the same thing. Allah, God, All-Embracing Love, Universe, Yahweh, etc., are names from different faiths that differ and yet have one single origin. The Chartres Method is therefore not aimed solely at Christians. If I use only the term God during the further course of the book, I will do so for the sake of simplicity. Anyone who wants to use a different term here should feel free to do so. The content can be transferred to (almost) anyone who believes in a Higher Being or a higher energy. It is the same with Jesus, who was not a Christian. He believed in a God who has, among other things, fatherly aspects and his all-embracing love and who taught the Our Father, another basis for this method. Whether we see Jesus as a historical figure, as the Son of God, or as a prophet does not matter in this book.
The application of the Chartres Method requires that you let go of old notions of belief and take an unbiased approach to this prayer, which is so important. If we can do that, then we will have a perfect guide to a happy and fulfilling life.
