The ‘True Parent’ meme

An apostate atheist defends Jewish history as offering startling, unique & rationally accessible ‘evidence’ of God’s existence, attendance to & integration with humanity

While some might try to accuse me of grandstanding to make a splash & garner unearned attention, I assure you this is not the case. As an apostate atheist, I offer a unique perspective merely on the face of it. That my long-time religious association was with one of the most controversial religious bodies in recent history only adds flavor, not a distraction.

One must of course ask by what hubris, what state of madness, by what pure arrogance, maliciousness & callousness can I, as an atheist, assume to act as the ‘defender’ of God? Then, in the same breath, argue Christianity is off course & needs a drastic reorganization of its values & their personal, public & political expressions. Simple logic at work here, actually. Personal integrity. Something actually seriously missing in the private, public & political spheres…& yet desperately needed these days.

Well, I’m your guy in this case.

My own commitment to love myself demands that I deny nothing that should not be denied, defend what should be defended, lift up what must be lifted, honor that which honors. Hence, in my research, into the Jesus of Jesus, not the Jesus of fickle & self-serving & self-satisfied men, I discovered Jewish history offered a pattern of such cultural & sociological significance that Jewish history now leapt at me from the pages. It took two years to decipher the ‘hidden’ evidence, its social meaning & its potential global significance. As a study in cultural anthropology, the ‘psychology’ of the pattern is now unmistakable to me. But for months, I wandered in a fog of discovery, unable to decipher its hidden code.

How I source the origin of the ‘force’ behind the external pattern that changed all human history is the challenge. God, social evolution, cosmic forces at work? IF one requires that ONLY one explanation be put forth as THE ONLY interpretation, I am at a loss. For as an ‘evidentiary’ dependent & rational person, due to my exposure to science, law & ideas on community, I had to admit that two equally plausible explanations emerged to me, in part out of my own experiences, but also because I have observed that the apparent divergence between them is merely that of paralleling, equally rationally accessible & potential interpretations.

Given the theistic paradigm that dominates the narrative of Jewish history, it was natural to assign such significance as a ‘God’ as the ‘interloper’ or ‘social agent’ acting in history. It actually fills out Jewish history in such fashion as to sociologically place it in the center of human global social evolution & maturing process.

Jewish history IS the story of family. Or more properly, Jewish history is the story of the development of the ‘mature’ human family, maturing.

Whether we attribute it to being ‘God’s’ family, or a ‘family’ because we recognize the universal need & value of interpersonal relationships, Jewish history is HUMAN HISTORY.

From that history we will learn much about the ‘nature’ of this God, the intimacy offered that was the ‘integration’ of God directly into human affairs, but so as to guide humanity to one conclusion.

That conclusion is presented by one Jesus. But it is not the conclusion offered by Christians.

As an apostate atheist, I can still rationally appreciate that.

Together, Jesus & Jewish history offer a particular narrative.

There is none like it in the world, yet its implication for humanity is undeniable, global & timeless. This can be rationally defended using history itself.

Jewish history reveals the true Philosopher’s Stone, humanity the ‘lead’ needing transformation. But in doing so, offers the true means to create ‘gold’ out of the lead we have been for 6000 plus years.

As an atheist, the interpretation in its native social meaning, as a human narrative, rather than a religious one, still reveals Jewish history as potentially the most significant single history in all of human history. The Jesus that emerges out of that history is still the man ‘who got it’ & tried to bring it home.

The culminating point?

Jewish history pointedly makes the argument that Jesus did NOT COME TO DIE, BUT to TEACH HUMANITY THE VALUES NEEDED TO PROPERLY LIVE WITH ONE ANOTHER, thus, to LIVE WITH GOD. The pattern of development initiated by God through Abraham, then Moses & culminating with & in Jesus was specifically directed & the ONLY rational response to the unmet challenge of human history, that which is exposed in the values we employ in interpersonal relationships. The values that produce the divided nature that then inhibits our relationships with God. The values that we employ that then harm human interpersonal relationships as a social norm.

Further, Jewish history is the revelation of the direct intervention & integration of God into human affairs, in such fashion that any reasonable & rational person will be persuaded the pattern is there. If NOT God, then how? That is the question that will remain unanswered except as each answers it for themselves. This will also be the question that cultural anthropologists, sociologists, historians, theologians & others will be straddled with answering.

I offer both viewpoints, equally vigorously. Without bias, favoring neither religious interpretation nor secular. The reason is simple. In the end, they converge & become one community. Globally. So simple in the complexity of the solutions it offers.

Those values Jesus offered as the conclusion to history are HUMAN APPLICABLE values, intended for human consumption, not religious solutions, that address the one lingering problem of human history; relationships created from immature emotionally held impulses, rationally justified & acted upon in real time, creating interpersonal & sustained harm.

This is a global-phenomena, spanning all human history. Hence, it is the one flaw in the notion that the human species is truly yet mature in its instinctual nature. The challenge remaining created in the very asset most abused; the freedom to choose the values we live by, to integrate into community with. This is a human problem faced by EVERY parent as they try to instruct their children on the ‘best way to live’, to offer prosperity & some measure of happiness.

Today, when considered contextually, Jewish history has something quite wonderful to offer the global conversation on peace, family, commitment, citizenship & civility & the ultimate meaning & value of patriotism, not as an exercise in flag waving as a celebration of nationalism, but rather what distinguishes a global patriot over their nationalistic citizen counterpart. When we understand Jewish history as the revelation of a ‘true parent’s heart’, as they seek their children through the corridors of time, planting the seed of generations, we encounter the deeper meaning of conviction & commitment; in the God/parent of Jewish history we meet the true, ultimate Johnny Appleseed of spirituality.

Further, in light of that history & the overall thrust of human history, the narrative now points to America as the 2nd Israel & why America today, in spite of its citizens, still offers the promise that was meant to be a light upon the world; yet today we shamefacedly stand as some self-entitled spoiled child, demanding more than its share & always of the best.

The connection between the Israel of Jesus’ time & America in its founding was the inclusion of ‘4’ words… ALL… ARE CREATED EQUAL.

Jesus, as ‘the correction’ to the direction humanity was headed, the concluding ‘prophet’, was, in the totality of his message, the ultimate fruit of Jewish history; as such, Jesus emerges NOT AS A CHRISTIAN, but as a completely different figure. He does prove, IF God exists, why he was the 1st true son of Israel. He also proves, if God DOESN’T exist, that Jesus had the formula needed to reverse the pattern of human created harm in human history… it just requires a little growing up on the part of everyone, not the least of which are those who assume to label themselves ‘Christian’ or leaders.

Today, Jewish history challenges Christianity as to its authenticity, both in its understanding of Jesus & its behavioral witness to that person.

Because the Jesus of Jewish history wanted to live, to have a family. But more to the point, Jesus wanted to share HOW to live with one another, that we might all share a full life with God. The keys to the ‘kingdom’ were in the principles of life, in HOW TO LIVE, that God offered through Jesus unconditionally. The one proviso? When we re-examine Jesus’ OWN words, we are proactively confronted with the challenge that faith ‘in’ Jesus was to ‘do as Jesus’. Nothing less.

The words so often cited as a ‘nice’ platitude, that ‘we do onto others as we would be treated’, emerge as the actual totality of all he sought to inspire & that Jewish law demanded. Jesus merely extended the intended audience to include our enemy.

Jesus sought to bring a revolution in one generation: a revolution of the heart, rationally informed, once the people truly grasped the true ‘heart of God’. Jewish history is the revelation of that heart, initiated with the ‘father of faith’, Abraham, secured with Moses & the covenant completed with the living revelation that was Jesus.

Today, that Jesus is emerging out of history, to claim back that which has been stolen from him; his universal & global moral significance. Wherein the true heart of God is revealed for the effort made in history that produced the fruit that was that which made Jesus unique & the sociologically significant figure he is.

For theists, God emerges out of Jewish history fully as the 1st true parent of humanity. In the nature of the quality of the particular behaviors engaged & their internal & external value & social meanings.

But…

If God doesn’t exist, Jesus is still the Holy Guru of Relationships, the Sensei of Proper Integration, the Master of Rhetorical Moral Context. Jewish history emerges as the birthing mother of the 1st truly human son; then offers to us, the fruit of her loins.

Anyway you slice it: Jesus was The Man, Jewish history The Way.

Wisdom demands its own honor: I honor Jewish history & Jesus, as an atheist, for the wealth of nations bequeathed humanity through its history, once unveiled.

Chapter 1

Just another mindless, atheist attack on religion, & specifically,

Christianity?

Ah, don’t we wish that it were so…simple. But alas, we have bigger fish to fry.

My heart longs for the innocence of youth that says ANYTHING is possible, even as we watch the news of more dead, dying, & tortured. Here, in America. Led by the rhetoric of a Christianity that has not improved much in 2,000 years, at least in the nature of the witness it offers to the world… as to the treasures of the heart, that speak to the heart of what is sold as Christianity today.

Do not get me wrong… the real thesis is that EVERYTHING humanity has touched has had the upside-down Midas touch effect. Religion, & specifically, theistic religions, are particularly vulnerable to such social activism that it becomes a greater problem for humanity than it should. This because they have a ‘God’ who is intimately involved in human affairs, holding some greater purpose for humanity as the reason for creation. Hence, ‘men’ have imagined themselves the ‘perfect’ instrument to define, for the rest of us, the will of that ‘God’. But have they been so… righteous? Or even ‘right’?

Even as an atheist, I find accord with a notion of a universal human potential & purpose, to some degree, & in some form. Yet, in the end, it is so simple. Of all the religious traditions I have been exposed to, ONLY Rev. Moon, founder of the controversial Unification Church, has even approached such understanding that I, as an atheist, now can share the same vision about the potential & responsibility of humanity… to itself, to history, & to the future. But a potential & responsibility first given voice, definition & meaning in one true Jewish son.

Moon himself makes it all about the 1st true human son of history, Jesus. I concur.

I spent 40 plus years in contemplation & analysis of Jesus’ & Moon’s ideas of relationships. Even though we depart on the issue of God, in all other respects, these two men serve me with three others, as my mentors. This project the fruit of that effort.

A wise person once advised to take such wealth & wisdom that even our enemy may offer us… intended as a benefit or not. That value has served me well. My enemy may be a harsh teacher, but they offer lessons that last a lifetime & actually fed my need to ‘be human’, in all that it could & should mean.

Today, our Christian leadership is ‘leading’ Christians, & to our grave discredit, American Christians away from ANYTHING Jesus held to. These ‘false’ teachers people Jesus warned about, & later, we will examine how such people are not just leading people away from a true ‘living skin touch’ with Jesus, but in doing so, they contribute to the hell they think is all ‘Satan’s’ fault.

We have ALL had to contend with the horror that those who were supposed to represent God to the people, were the very people sexually violating our children. As religious leaders, there is no more sacred image than the person who acts as a social agent between a ‘believer’ & their ‘God’. This person IS the substantialized embodiment of God to the ‘faithful’. Hence, the moral significance is almost unparalleled. ONLY parents demand a more compelling vulnerability that we are naturally conditioned to accept… & embrace.

Hence, it is as if God is raping & sexually abusing our children, the most sacred trust life thrusts into the most unqualified hands. All being equal. Yet, in the revelation of the carnage that has been perpetrated for centuries, not just by Catholic, but most religions around the world, has left a spiritual/psychological scar that even now haunts humanity, as one more example of our willful & continual ‘justified’ betrayal of each other. For each priest, each religious leader, of ANY religion, must first confront the ‘man in the mirror’, before they act. Hence, they have chosen the value that is most emotionally compelling, for that moment. Casting no less than two people into hell with each such act. One stepping further into hell, the other now created for the other person, by the experience they were forced to suffer.

Yet, even as we cringe & grow angry, uttering oaths of revenge, we observe such behavior everywhere. Our schools. Our churches & other religious institutions. Our youth groups, where ‘adults’ have CONTROL of others. Boy Scouts, some Girl Scout leaders no less sexist in their rhetoric, actually seeking to divide families along sexual lines. Our leaders indulge in sexual behaviors, our rich do it with impunity, some apparently for decades, & essentially get away with it. Parents to it to their children. Prison is rape central for America… it allowed as a ‘right’. Again, even though in prison, those are OUR children being raped… for what crime? Even in the military, as the last bastion for the image of the ‘patriot’, is no less infected with this misuse of our most touted & needed ‘right’… to be free.

Yes, the problems we face are universal, affect all levels of every society. No religion is free of the misuse of human willed behavior. The challenge emerging in ALL cases is EXACTLY the same… the values we have chosen to employ with each other, because they will get us what WE want. It’s that simple.

Even the pedophile now exudes such arrogance as to offer ‘I am not consciously choosing to hurt you, per se’… no pedophile does. But the result? Devastation beyond human imagination or science to measure. Except later, when we who have suffered so, become the criminals, the mentally ill, the politicians, dictators, corporate bosses, husbands & mothers. All who have access to power but not the maturity needed to handle it. Slavery is borne anew each day… & adults garbed in the robes of respectability will march forth to create the havoc & hell we call home… that we share now, with each other.

When Christian religious leaders label my marriage to my Japanese wife as the evidence of Satan’s attack on America, informing me that we are also the unwitting pawns of Russian communism, I am expected to accept that is from Jesus? The pastor states so. The minister who tells everyone in the world, that if they send $1000 as their pledge to help God with his mission to reach the people, God will return a thousand-fold for such faith. Another offers ‘miracle’ spring water that brings wealth to those who drink it… then they rush to send money as gratitude. All those pictured giving ‘witness’ to such ‘miracles’ were black Americans. What SHOULD I THINK? One more way to tell black America, You can’t make it as a human being… let God do for you what you couldn’t do for yourself…& white America won’t allow, if it can. I have only one question. If God is so present, always seeking to benefit us, where the hell was God with the slavery, Jim Crow, etc., etc., etc.? What about our sisters, mothers, daughters & wives? They don’t matter to God… just those with an extra $1000 to toss towards the heavens?

Yet, as I discovered, Jesus did have wealth to offer. But it then becomes OUR offering, not something we get to keep, just for ourselves. We become co-creators, NOT consumers.

White Christian America thinks, & worse, fears America is no longer going to be white controlled. Why do they fear that? In 1974, Rev. Moon tried to warn white Christian America.  One word. History. Karmic history is being ‘tempted’.

What was the bitter fruit of ‘community’ established by white America in its creation & sustained by slavery, has never yet been fully repented for… in word or deed. If there is no racism, sexism, no interpersonal challenge unmet, then why do we NEED a young black American man taking a bended knee, to remind us something is not quite yet right in Camelot? Even more, why is the victim the one asking for ‘justice? Where are we as ‘citizens’? If there is no sexism, why are our sister/mother/daughters so up in arms?

Truly, any ‘good’ doctor would prescribe a healthy dose of humility followed by substantial & sustained repentance.

Repentance ALWAYS involving a change in behavior, then where is the repentance of history, that observes, in behavior, that what was, is not nor will be any longer?

Slavery was imagined a proper ‘Christian’ exercise of freedom. The treatment of slaves was not a moral issue. With the end of slavery, all these deviant relationships were not restored, they were merely reformed into Jim Crow…which still exists today, defended by white Christian religious leadership, embraced by the 87% white Christians that realize with the loss of white power to dominate every aspect of American living, they fear that history might come back to bite them… Even as recent as 45 years ago, American Christians were kidnapping, incarcerating & brainwashing those they religiously disagreed with. On the shores of this nation. All because some Christian held that any other religious notions than his own were ‘Satanic’ & needed to be confronted, be damned if it is America, with supposed freedom of religion. Christians even manipulated the courts for that agenda. They have NEVER admitted to being wrong, even as Americans! The heart of Christians that want a white controlled particular form of Christian America, is VERY much alive & in great evidence It is white Christian America that placed a racist, a man who despises & sexually assaults women as a ‘right’, who even imagined sex with his own daughter, in the most powerful position in the world. Who then immediately threatened nuclear war with the leader of the worst dictatorship in the world, yet now speaks about him as if they are secret lovers.

If we want the evidence of the effect of slavery on American history, examine the wages for those services that slaves were required to master, to ‘earn’ their keep. After the end of slavery, all these people who had previously worked for free, now had to be paid. (Ever notice how those who had been forced to work for free, when labor was free, the minute they had to be paid for the same services, now were all deemed lazy.) As we observe daily, the end of slavery did not end the state of mind & heart that had utilized it with impunity. Hence, cleaning ‘massahs’ house is still ‘nigger’ work & thus, ‘justifies’ to be paid such low wages. So, because of the idea of indentured servants & slavery, certain classes of work, performed by such people precisely because it did not demand a higher education or special skills, could now all be lumped together as ‘nigger work’, & thus, society was not obliged to pay more than ‘nigger wages’. So, white society could still control & marginalize black Americans without seeming to break the law. This then became the national attitude towards such work. It only became challenged with the idea of a living wage being part of being American, thus, wage controls emerged as an idea who needed to be advanced. Tips were also the simple way to separate white workers from their black counterparts. The collective & personal impact? Can ANY black person look upon my face & feel the desire for relationship?

I sure wouldn’t feel such a natural urge.

Hence, in the most intimate way, white America has continued to feel divinely entitled, which is why white Republicans will never in the end support the poor workers of America. Between the white trash who can’t better themselves & thus deserve to be with the rest of the ‘masses’, & the dark wave threatening white America, service work will continue to be imagined as ‘ni**** work’, though it will be never cognitively recognized or accepted as such. All the more the indictment of the man in the mirror, who becomes a monster beyond human control.

Does it therefore mean there is no hope, no proactive confrontation?

This is what we must discover.

Is the Christianity of America, the Christianity of the ‘current’ Jesus, authentic to Jesus’ own words, his own understanding? Or is the message & mission of Jesus hidden in history, awaiting the people who truly seek life, & seek to be a living part of it, as a co-creator?

Today, I declare, Jesus has been hidden away, not even embraced & celebrated by Christians themselves, even in secret. Today, Jesus is to be liberated. Offered in all his humanity to those who deserve his message… because we choose to care & want to make a difference. A difference in the quality of life we offer one another, as the final, behavioral declaration of the ‘who I am’, ‘how I am’, & what I am’, in the living, with you. We will discover a Jesus who DID love humanity. But in a real way, sustainable as ‘our’ way of being. Not with rhetorical promises of filial piety, but the repentance of a changed person, who has transformed themselves, by transcending the original values that had informed their emotional being.

We will discover the true faith that every family understands. The faith in our parents that is revealed in the behaviors we then manifest, as habit, with each other. This was the faith demanded by the Jewish God… ALL faith was measured ‘by God’, but ONLY in the movement of human will to behavior. Where the true treasures of the heart can no longer be hidden from the noonday sun. Where there is no shade to hide our deceptions, first of the self, to the self.

Today, Christian America is the greatest threat to world peace of any one religion. It is a greater threat to America & true Americans, than from any other ideological frame point. Yes, I discriminate in the nature of the quality of citizenship I imagine as important to promise & demand of history & to the future of America & the world. I observe much reason for hope.

Emerging from the man Jesus himself.

We will help resurrect the man. Help him extract the REAL message he offered. The non-religious message he offered, as the fruit of his own experiences & decision-making processes. Jesus will defend his words, not as they are twisted to serve any old purpose, no matter how deviant. In the effort, we will discover that Jesus himself actually judges such people who are transforming his message into the religion that worships death.

What we need & what we will discover is that Jesus sought to teach us how to live with God… by learning how to properly live with each other. The key to our relationship with God, revealed in our neighbor, even if he is the enemy.

That is the sum of the whole problem, isn’t it?

Chapter 2

The Emperor Wears No Clothes!

History reveals that ‘Judgement Day’ has arrived early for American Christianity

"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things; & an evil man out of the treasure bringeth forth evil things… But I say unto you, THAT EVERY WORD that men speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement. …by thy words thou shall be justified & by thy words thou shall be condemned." Jesus

The kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Jesus

Leadership should not be a question of charisma, how the image affects us as an emotional component, but rather leadership should be contextually considered as a matter of principles to define motive, to inform & guide behavior. This demanded standard of behavior a sustained state expressed across all social mediums, personal, public & political. Leadership is ultimately about the principles of civility, of parenting & of social cohesion. Of community, as a morally significant integration of sacred individuals.

The national leader of the KKK, while charismatic to those who follow him, is of a different nature & form of citizenship than a Martin Luther King, Jr. Yet both are central to social concerns about race relations. But, appearances noted, it is not about racial appearances that these two are so disassociated. That is the convenient excuse. The ‘lie’.

History reveals two qualities of rebels. Those that seek to be a benefit to the world, including to their enemy, in their own offering, & those who seek to re-imagine the world, without their enemy, as the result of assuming the right to eliminate the enemy, rather than integrate with the enemy, as an act of community building & social & historical restoration.

Jesus was such a rebel of history to offer to unconditionally benefit his environment. This motivation so profoundly held as a personal & social value that he sought to alter the course of a whole nation, merely based upon his own experiences. This interpretation of those values for public consumption to important as to inspire him that he became an itinerant teacher, as the only means to fully share his vision. That vision informed by a particular set of values & their social orientation.

Yet, when history is understood for the fruit Christianity has produced, we will discover that Christianity, supposedly the socially offered evidence & ‘fruit’ of the life & words of Jesus, that Christianity is severely off course. Both its natural course as revealing the fruit of the life of Jesus, but also as a social agent responsible for a significant mission for those who so express ‘true’ faith in Jesus & his life & words.

Today, there being no other way to avoid a global madness, we must each consent to grapple with the issues all humanity face, as a species, both as a product of history & as a social force in the world of such significance that we cannot afford to ignore the direction we seem to be headed. But the most socially significant source of this madness is surprising, needs immediate attention, but to which there is hopeful resolution.

There is ONLY one group that claims the ‘right’ to the arrogance to assume the moral leadership of a nation falls to them & them alone. Yet, we discover the root is rotten. The proof? The ONLY measure that ever mattered. Even to the ‘master’ himself. The fruit it produces. Behavior.

Today, we must declare Christianity, in its present form & quality of leadership, is inauthentic to the message, life & mission of Jesus, as a good Jewish son & as a mature example of the human species.

Further, for the first time in history, history, a particular history, reveals its secrets that it held starting over 4,000 years ago. The evidence of a phenomena best described as a form of social engineering occurring over millennia. How to rationally explain the ‘evidence’ that history offers is best left to better minds than mine. But, it is clear. History offers its own voice & that voice ‘proves’ Christianity has been off track for two thousand years. History also definitively declares what message Jesus MUST offer, to both satisfy Jewish history, Jewish religious history, & the obvious, the state of a humanity seemingly willing to be at war with itself.

Today, in the revelation of the true meaning & intent & value of Jesus’ words, JUDGEMENT DAY has come early for Christians & Christianity.

Why judgment day? Simple, what has been avoided for 2000 years is now as available to the least in the kingdom as to those who imagine themselves the ‘chosen’. Today, we will discover a Jesus that demanded one quality of faith, & ONLY one. That is measured in the behaviors we offer others, as the treasures of the heart we place into the world of the living. We will discover that Christian leaders have not only avoided teaching Jesus, but rather seek to teach only ABOUT Jesus, unwilling & therefore constitutionally unable to offer the ONLY witness Jesus stipulated ‘made the mark.’ Today, false teachers are more in evidence than anything Jesus would condone; Jesus would shut the temples of idolatry passed around our television networks as the false teachers they are. Jesus’ own words convict them. Jesus himself will expose these teachers as not offering the true meaning of faith Jesus demanded & is actually due.

I respect King, Gandhi, for what they did, based upon the values I accept they held. Their lives the witness of their own faith in Jesus. But a faith rooted in the values he advanced we live by, sharing as our offering to life & living. But Gandhi NEVER became a Christian; yet gave one of the best political interpretations, adaptations & applications of the values Jesus taught ever evidenced in the world… this by a non-Christian Hindu. If one respects & honors Martin L. King, does one hate white people & take up a gun against them? Or does one ONLY honor King, Jesus & Gandhi when we replicate those values they held, in our own being, as our own way? If not, are we not frauds, fakes, pretenders to the throne?

But what shall we make of this criticism & implied ‘judgement’? Is this the means & justification to now attack, dominate, humiliate & subjugate a power group with little social conscience? Is this the moment we can accuse Christianity & stand by looking & feeling smug & superior? Far from it. Like it or not, it’s still family we are talking about. You know… it’s about blood & water.

In my innocence, when I first became a theist, I offered a prayer asking that I be the last person to enter ‘heaven’. Why? My hell in life not the worst ever, but enough to cripple me, I am both sympathetic & empathetic towards all who have suffered, more or less. Even as I was left behind, unworthy to be loved, even by parents, I cannot then go ahead of others. For there is always one worse off than oneself. If we don’t turn & aid those more challenged than we are, by what moral ‘right’ can we ask for the aid for ourselves we ALL need to be fully & truly human? As the path was lite for me, so I must light it for others like me, for those who were informed, by behavior & rhetoric, that they didn’t matter, either. My mom, my ancestors, they had no such recourse. There was no one there to aid them. Hence, they must be forgiven, as they reach their own critical consciousness.
