Don't you wish you could have a lightsaber? And force powers - definitely force powers. Someone cuts in front of you in line - force choke. Take that line-cutter. Oh, wait - how about spider powers? Shooting web lines and clinging to walls. What do you mean I can't get in here, just watch me. And, hey you, Mr. line-cutter - phwip, phwip - get out of the way. <sigh>OK, so we can't have those. At least to the best of my knowledge. What's the next best thing? Creating worlds and stories to do whatever you want. I guess I'll have to settle for that and hopefully you'd like to come along for the ride. I live and grew up in a rural area in Ohio. That left a lot of room for reading. I now live with my family and hope to enrich somebody's life with some of my stories. For now, I have to visit another world ... wish I could tell you which one at the moment. :)

About Martin & James Case Files
Have you ever heard of pulp fiction? No, not the Tarantino movie, but what pulp fiction refers to?
In the late 1800’s and early 1900’s magazine’s with short stories were popular. These were typically action or mystery stories. Because the actual paper used to make the magazines was cheap, it was referred to as pulp paper and pulp magazines. Hence, the stories were pulp fiction.
They weren’t long and elaborate like a novel. Many writers wrote stories that appeared in magazines like Amazing Stories, Weird Tales, Dime Detective, Flying Aces, and Western Story Magazine. Many popular characters that we can still identify were created and many known writers, like Conan by Robert E. Howard, Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft, Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Shadow, The Green Hornet, Doc Savage, and even stories by Edgar Allen Poe and Ernest Hemingway. This was very popular, and many writers became known because of these shorter stories.
Short stories fell out of favor and most of the magazines disappeared. There seems to be a desire for short fiction once again. This could be due to the fact that people have their phones all the time and would like to pull it out to read a quick story at times. Maybe we just don’t have the patience for a longer novel. Either way, once again, more people are looking for short stories to read.
