    WEIRD AND FUNNY TALES contains three short stories dealing with strange personal struggles. First, "The Hitchhiker" is about a man on his last legs as he walks down a hot desert road. The man is picked up by a mysterious stranger who does not appear to be as he seems. Next, "Mayhem and Chico" is about a small kitten named Chico who enjoys playing in his new family's yard. However, the old family dog Mayhem is determined to stay the ruler of her turf. The two confront each other as they battle for the backyard. Finally, "Spots" dives into the mind of a young woman named Daisy. Daisy is thrilled to have finally acquire her first apartment. Her beautiful best friend Shelly congrats her and the two celebrate. Daisy unfortunately is haunted by her past and her OCD. It takes three nights for things to turn south as her fears manifest in a frightening form.
