About this ebook

Two greedy goblins, a not-so-lucky amulet and a comet blazing across the heavens. You'd think Sneath and Clutter would run for cover, but not these two. They see opportunity. A way to make a fortune by fleecing all the terrified humans. It's a shame the goblin brothers aren't very smart.

Join the Sneath and Clutter as they battle thieves, zealot monks, angry peasants and grumpy trolls while chasing a fortune in gold.

    Fire Rain - D. A. Kelly

‘She’s shedding her skin, Sneath!’ Clutter elbowed his brother. ‘Making herself beautiful.’

‘She’s bright! I’ll say that. Brighter than she’s been for centuries.’

The two goblins stood in the doorway of their mountain cave and stared at a streak of light blazing across the evening sky. They grinned at each other, flashing tiny sharp teeth.

Clutter rubbed his bony, green hands together. He kissed a small clay tablet pinned to their front door. ‘I told you this amulet was lucky! Just like the twins said! I can feel the luck oozing from it like the guts of a well-cooked frog. All delicious and delightful. Makes my lips tingle.’

‘A business opportunity!’ Clutter did a little jig. ‘I can feel it in me bones. Reeks of plague and omens this one, and you know what that means.’

    ‘Gold!’

    ‘Exactly!’

‘Reckon they’ll be as gullible as last time?’ Sneath hooked his thumbs in the rope holding up his breeches, admiring the feathered glow trailing the fire star.

    ‘They’re humans.’ Clutter shrugged.

‘It won’t be like it used to. We’ll have to play to the Sky Gods and Danu and the Goddess Bridgid. And that new god so many are praying to these days.’

‘Good thinking. Spread the love. It’ll take a
