About this ebook

I can still see, in my mind’s eye, Serling standing there in stark black and white, wearing a suit with a thin tie, smoking a cigarette, and telling me I’d just crossed over to the twilight zone. It may have been my earliest inspiration to write. I enjoyed writing this even though, as Wayne and Garth would plead, “I’m not worthy”. And so, I submit for your approval this tale of the unknown, the unlikely, and the macabre.

Writing fiction has been an interest, a passion of mine, since I was quite young. The stories, as you might imagine, are those I would enjoy reading myself. Considerable effort has been spent ensuring these stories are as interesting, readable, and professionally crafted as possible. All are free. I write for the joy of it and hope you enjoy them as well.

Clifford Davis, who always went by Cliff, was a pleasant, middle-aged man who sold life insurance. He was average height, a bit on the heavy side, and had close-cropped hair of an indeterminate color (was it sandy-brown?). His grooming was at least adequate, as you would expect from a salesman. However, the suits he wore were never quite stylish and somehow never fit him quite right given his pear-shaped physique.
