World contribution for peace
All military personnel working as a blue helmet are, first of all, a member of their own national army and, subsequently, assigned under the command and control of the UN.
The UN has more than 100,000 uniformed troops from more than 120 nations of the world. They come from large and small countries, rich and poor.

They bring different cultures and experiences to the work they do, but they are united in their determination to promote peace.
Currently most of the troops come from African and Asian countries, while the contribution of Western countries is increasing.
