About this ebook

After achieving huge success with Taboo, Delilah brings an impressively new dimension with War.
War is a captivating and enchanted book of sex, love, lust, heartbreak and uncertainty. Delilah has captured every aspect of love and framed it in poetry, in a manner only she could.
This book shows a hint of delicacy but, in true Delilah style, is written with 'grit'. It is exciting, raw, blunt and unapologetic.
All the poems within this book are based on real events, making it a powerhouse of emotion. It will lead you to reminisce your choices and question your love.
War is more than words on a page, it is a powerful portrayal of brutal honesty. A heartfelt book that bleeds with romance, War is tragically beautiful.

Delilah Sunday

Delilah Sunday is a Leicester-born poet, who resides between Bath and Leicester. In an era where photographs are all the rage, Delilah shuns putting her face to her work; ensuring freedom to express the world she sees around her and allowing her poetry to stay the focus. Her poetry is inspired by moments of time. Her writing is quirky, bringing poetry to modern-day times and delivered with a raw brutal honesty, showcasing a natural-born talent. She writes all of her poetry around 3 am when the night is silent and the world's asleep with nothing but candlelight for company. War is the second book Delilah has published. With Taboo being her first.

    Dedication

War is dedicated to anyone who has been hurt by someone they loved. Be that a friend or lover.

There is a romantic notion that for something to be able to make you bleed, it had to pump your heart once and that to me is tragically beautiful.

Do not let the fear of the past deter you from loving again, to love is the BEST feeling in the world, it makes the mediocre world we live in a lot better of a place to be.

"May the scars we left on each other be a reminder that-regardless of the ash and nothing we became; we once were a fire full of passion.

May we relinquish all insecurities we carved into each other and be free to love again."
