The great book of Zen-Satsang with Ishvara - Dawio Bordoli

BE A LIGHT UNTO YOURSELVES AND THE WORLD

    Foreword

I am very honored to have met Ishvara, a highly evolved being, in this channeled form through my two dear friends Therry and Dawio. I feel that Ishvara’s answers come from a dimension impossible to imagine with our human minds. A dimension where there is only the Absolute, where there is only unity, where there is only the here and now, where there is only light, love and freedom. It is the dimension of pure beingness.

From that eternal place come Ishvara's answers. Answers of a simple yet extraordinary depth. Answers that always come straight to the point. Answers that clarify, liberate and bring instant joy. Ishvara's wisdom is a bottomless pit.

Thank you so much for this immeasurable gift.

I wish everyone a good read, reflection, and realization of the Self.

    ZEN-SATSANG WITH ISHVARA

    *Absolute, God, Self and Eternity*

How does the Absolute, God, the Self or Eternity manifest itself?

*Ishvara*: The Absolute manifests itself through the limits of creation that is impermanent.

So, the Absolute is real while the illusion is the impermanence of the manifestation of the Absolute?

*Ishvara*: This is so, from the perspective of the mind that is dual, from the perspective of the Absolute, instead there is no separation between reality and illusion.

But is the world real or illusory?

*Ishvara*: It's real as long as you perceive it. The Self, which precedes the mind, is the only reality. In the Self, everything can be manifested.

If the nature of the I is the sum of past experiences that become memories and thoughts, then where does the I come from?

*Ishvara*: From the Absolute. Everything is born and dies in it.

Every human being seeks happiness, where to look for it?

*Ishvara*: Realize that what you are looking for is what you cannot forget, except in the ignorance of this existence.

Why are we born into forgetfulness?

*Ishvara*: Forgetfulness is of the mind and not of the Self.

    What is happiness?

*Ishvara*: To be happy is to feel that you love life. You can be happy without having to be satisfied by the senses. Sensory satisfaction is not happiness but is simple and temporary contentment. Imagine being made of salt and then diving into the ocean and what's left is eternal happiness. You can only be yourselves, therefore, surrender yourselves to life with joy. Give in to the beauty of life. Love life in its entirety. Always live as if it's the last day, because it could be. Always carry the joy of living in your heart. Once you are sure you are the Absolute, everything becomes joy of living.

If there was no creation, what would there be?

*Ishvara*: What is there when you find yourselves in deep sleep, in dreamless sleep, that is, the limitless universal and impersonal consciousness.

By unlimited universal and impersonal consciousness do you mean the Absolute, God, Self, Eternity, etc.?

    *Ishvara*: Yes.

    How can we know God?

*Ishvara*: Know yourselves and you will know God.

Why do we feel separated from God?

*Ishvara*: Separation distances you from yourselves and from others, but not from God.

If we feel separated, do we not also feel separated from God?

*Ishvara*: In truth, you are never separated from God.

So, it is our mind that makes us believe that we are separated from God, when instead we can never be?

*Ishvara*: Yes, hence the need to free oneself from thoughts.

How can we free ourselves from thoughts for good?

*Ishvara*: The last key is to get rid of the idea of having to get rid of something.

So, don’t we have to ask ourselves any more questions?

*Ishvara*: Questions and answers are born and die in your mind, you simply witness, observe this flow, each in her own way, according to his own Karma, the law of cause and effect.

So, what relationship do you advise us to have with God?

*Ishvara*: Always see yourselves as God's instruments.

What is the best way to reach God?

*Ishvara*: All roads lead to God.

What can you tell us about this statement: the way is the goal?

*Ishvara*: If you have realized this, then there will be no more questions for you.

Has the way been predetermined by the divine plan?

    *Ishvara*: Yes.

Is the divine plan static or flexible?

*Ishvara*: If you give it an absolute value it is static, otherwise it will be flexible.

Can any decision taken at the present moment affect the course of the divine plan?

*Ishvara*: Yes, even if everything is already written in the divine plan.

Shouldn't it be appropriate to know some of the decision-making consequences written in the divine plan to avoid certain destructive events?

*Ishvara*: Only if this will fall within the divine plan.

Do you advise us to bow down, kneel before the Gods?

*Ishvara*: It is not necessary, what really matters is that you also express your devotion through the respect for all that exists outside places of worship.

How can we live the message of divine love to the fullest?

*Ishvara*: Loving each other, this is true spirituality.

Is it true that I-thought is the first thought when we wake up?

*Ishvara*: From the moment you know you exist, you are in the individual consciousness.

What is the substratum in which all creation exists?

*Ishvara*: The Self, the Absolute, God.

What is the relationship between memory and thoughts?

*Ishvara*: Thoughts draw from the memory of the past that, changing in the present, is projected into the future.

In regard of the various theories about who we are/are not, observer/observed, duality/non-duality, action/non-action, etc., which is the one most in tune with your teaching?

*Ishvara*: It's all a question about perspective, from which you observe events.

So, the one who observes makes a difference?

    *Ishvara*: Yes, the observer.

The observer based on her own experience?

*Ishvara*: Exactly, conditionings determine your perspectives in observation.

Why is it easier to surrender to an idol, a myth, a spiritual Master, a deity, and so difficult to surrender to ourselves?

*Ishvara*: Lack of self-esteem leads you to seek an authority outside of you.

    How to have more self-esteem?

*Ishvara*: Loving more and more what is inside and outside of you.

You mean loving all of life as it is?

    *Ishvara*: Yes.

Are Absolute and life, in a sense, synonyms?

*Ishvara*: The first is the essence, the second is its manifestation.

Could you give us another definition of the Absolute?

*Ishvara*: It is you, as manifestation and essence at the same time.

Why is there so much difficulty in having faith, in having total acceptance and abandonment in God or in ourselves?

*Ishvara*: The mind is like this, full of doubts and uncertainties, but you are beyond the mind, you precede the mind, otherwise you may not be aware of what is happening in it. Since you are conscious of thinking, then you must, of necessity, come before your thoughts.

So, is faith just a matter of the mind?

*Ishvara*: You are the limitless universal and impersonal consciousness in which this precise moment is happening. And precisely this immediate, instant and profound intuitive perception, frees you from the mind itself and from the thoughts contained in it, leaving room for the peace and harmony of love, which is total surrender to the divine will, that is manifested in accepting yourselves completely as you are, in the here and now.

    What is the soul?

*Ishvara*: What makes you say you exist.

The soul manifests itself at this very moment, in the eternal here and now, and you make us aware that we are the witnesses of what the soul is experiencing?

*Ishvara*: Like a moth that, attracted by light, flies towards the glowing lamp and dies, you too will be burned, or rather, your false self will dissolve. The veil of Maya (illusion) will fall and what will remain, which has always been and always will be, is the Self, that which is beyond
