Holy shit Jason said looking at Alex from up to down. "Have you seen her? She is the fucking Model from Victoria´s Secret!"

Thanks...I don´t think so Alex answered looking at him from the couch, while she was tying her military boots shoe laces on top of the brown table in the living room and pulling down her long black hair with some gel.

It´s evident that the girl is fine, but I don´t think that, seeing her every day would be a reason for a scream Joe said calmly.

You know that´s not the point, if Maggs finds out, I don´t think she would like it, we are in a very delicate moment and you know it. Jason defended himself looking at Joe with those intense green eyes full of anger.

Alex couldn´t avoid losing up a smile laugh when he heard Maggs´s name, really?

"Who´s called like that and who likes her?" Alex thought, while she coughed trying to hide the imminent laughter.

She will be as amused as she was when she left you when summer started. I am not going to leave Alex for a girl like Maggs Joe answered starting to get mad.

Joe don´t talk about Maggs, if you don´t want to see my fist stellated in your face.

The argument was increasing with each phrase that was pronounced. Alex in the couch looked completely out of any discussion around her, she had learned to get in her own bubble. She grabbed the earphones from her bag and she put them on as high as she could, now she could just see Joe and Jason move their mouths each time more intensely, it was even funny.

Alex had met Joe in the middle of the summer at a bar in the city; to be more exact at the door, saving his ass of being kicked up by a bunch of rough guys dressed in leather and not with a very nice odor I believe from not having showers, I mean weekly showers. Alex stayed with him till the dizziness from alcohol went down and could remember where he lived, since that day she moved to the free room there she was waiting to meet her new roommate, Jason.

Almost a list of songs in her iPod after, Alex got up, she put the headphones away, she grabbed her bag and crossed it by her chest, she adjust her black t-shirt with no sleeves and put on her jean shorts taking out the keys of the apartment that Joe had gave her and leaving them in the small table.

Well, I better go now, if you don´t mind please put away my things and I will come pick them up tomorrow. Alex said passing through both boys that were still standing with the front door open.

Jason didn´t even finishing packing when everything began.

Alex begged Joe, please don´t go, I just have to make this pumpkin head come in reason.

There is no need to go now, I would ask you to go tomorrow when you had found a place to sleep. Jason started to say.

Trying to lower his angry voice, after all she was not guilty that Joe didn´t clarify that Alex was a girl not a boy.

Don´t leave for tomorrow what you can do today, right? Alex answered, without worrying and looking at him directly to the eyes. Some beautiful emerald green eyes, which denoted fury in that instant. 

Look, it´s not because of you Jason explained. I don´t know if  Joe has told you, but my girlfriend asked me for some time, at the beginning of summer and It had been three months without seeing her or knowing about her. The University will be our point of reunion and I don´t want any misunderstandings, I haven´t been precisely a good boy all my life.

You know what I do when a guy asks me for time? Alex asked nailing her gray eyes directly to Jason´s while a slow smile came out of his face. I give them the hour.

Joe laughed his head off.

Joe, we talk tomorrow, okay? Don´t worry that everything is fine with us.

Said this Alex closed the door behind him and he went down the stairs two floors to the street, when he went out he heard Joe, screaming from the window.

Do you know where to go tonight, baby?

I always have where to go! Alex answered with a big smile in her face while she was turning the corner and lost sight of Joe´s head looking over the window.

The truth was the she didn´t have where to go. She knew people, but she didn´t what to bother anyone. Tomorrow would be the last day of school and tonight everyone was gathering with classmates from other years and moving into other rooms. Tomorrow she would check out the Bulletin Board in the Campus in search of a free room or a couch were to land. She continued walking several blocks till she got to a park she just loved, it was already dark, well, and as dark as a September night can be. At least it was not cold yet. She went into the park and she looked for a hillock of grass so she could lay down behind it and not be noticed by the people passing by and especially by the police, she didn´t pretend to start the school year with a homeless detention.

She took out her bag and placed it underneath her head, she unbuttoned her jacket that smartly she had grabbed before coming out of the apartment and she placed it over the bag so it could be like a puffy pillow. It was not the best place in which she had slept, but it wasn´t the worst either.

She stayed with her hands behind her back, looking at the stars and thinking of Jason. She hadn´t met him till that night, but his reputation predicted him, he almost came to her at the same time that she started to live with Joe.

Everybody thought for real that she and Joe had a relationship and at the moment that player would come to his apartment the relationship would end. On the other side, Jason had his defense, like he had been the bad boy, till he met his girlfriend the second year in College and he passed from sleeping with every girl he laid eyes on to a nice loyal boyfriend. Joe told him that the girl had change in the two years that they had been together. She became the nerd of the class to a popular girl. Her insecurities became her charms and all thanks to how Jason treated her, and in the last days of school suddenly, the bomb dropped, she wanted some time, no more no less, after two years of relationship, she decided he needed a summer alone, and when fall would come, and with it University starting, she would see what would happen.

It was not surprising that Jason had been so hysterical, when he knew that Alex was a girl. Joe decided to clear the issue, of course, it was not because she was a girl that she wanted to get in his bed, but that was not the point, women don´t like the idea of seeing their man sleeping beside a girl, that according to him, could be Victoria´s Secret model. Alex thought it was funny in a certain way. Normally, she didn´t get mad, at least she didn´t do that anymore, and it was just adorable who love caused and effect, at whatever age, because after all, that was, first love and the illusion of how we see the world so perfect when we have it. But Alex knew something, love was like throwing yourself from the stairs, it hurt and it was not worth it.

Alex felt how the grass creaked near where she was and she turned her face up to an enormous black Rottweiler face to face, so huge like a pony´s size. She sat down sitting slowly and reaching out her hand under the animal snout so he could sniff. The dog did it, but he did it after a few seconds, he licked the back of her hand. Alex patted his leg so he would come near and the dog obeyed, he checked the surroundings, to see if she could see the owner, but she didn´t see anyone. The dog had a collar, but not his ID to be able to call the owner or at least to see his name, so she simply called him Peto. He looked like a dog of a Korean cartoon, that she had seen long time ago. It seemed appropriate for such a big and sweet dog at the same time, just like the one in the TV show. She scratched his head, while she decided what to do with him. If his owner was looking for him the best thing to do would be to stay there, if it was where he usually took him for a walk, and if no one came to look for him, she would take him tomorrow to the vet so they could scan his chip and could find his owner. Anyways, it could have been intelligent to place a telephone number in the collar.

Minutes later she heard a masculine voice yelling a name in high voice that Alex couldn´t distinguish. She got up placing her bag again in her head and she placed her jacket inside and she saw Jason standing there some meters in front of her, Peto was beside, Alex bend over to hug him and asking him, like if he was able to respond.

Peto, Is this idiot your owner? She asked in a high tone so Jason would hear her.

He turned around and was surprised with the image.

Jason, couldn´t believe what he was seeing, the model of the underwear was hugging his dog and he didn´t try to eat her, incredible. He walked towards them and again he called his dog.

Parapet, Come boy! Jason screamed, bending down to receive the animal that came from above Alex´s arm, to move towards him moving his tail.

Parapet?, That is his name? Alex asked surprised, while she came near.

He is a little bit strange? I know, but this boy here is my parapet, my bodyguard, that´s why his name.

That explains when I called him Peto and he answered. Dogs don´t understand what their name is, just when they recognize the sound of it, that´s why he thought you were calling him. Alex, thought that in high voice.

How did you get him to let you touch it? Normally he doesn´t let anyone come near him, Maggs took a month to kiss me in front of him, asked Jason surprised by the situation.

I don´t know, I guess he liked me, many say I am a dog so maybe that´s why it was easier for him to trust me answered smiling and petting Peto in the head. How did he escaped?, I didn´t see him in the apartment.

Well, he had left him in the car while he was uploading the luggage, I left him with the window open and he maybe jumped to chase something answered Jason passing his hand by his beautiful black hair, Alex thought it was so desirable, and also noticing the skin that she could see under the short sleeve t-shirt.

Even with that beautiful view Alex was a little bit upset, because he had left his dog like that without worries in the car alone.

And why did you let him downstairs? You should had placed him first, or maybe your underwear is more important than your dog? Alex asked crossing her arms under her chest, she had a quick glance of Jason before answering.

Joe didn´t know he came with Parapet. He would had stay just here today, tomorrow my Parents will pick him up in their way to my sister´s house, I didn´t want to leave him alone there. And also I didn´t know if the new partner would be bothered to have him, I suppose it was better to say it, before an animal of that size invaded the apartment and someone would come out screaming. He took a deep breath and smiled half way, "Anyway, the underwear is overvalued...I have so many witnesses that would sustain my affirmation.

Alex yelled, "Of course", she thought. You can take the player of the game, but not because of that it stops being part of it, no?

Anyways, you should change its name maybe that was why he escaped.

Jason saw her amused while Alex asked Parapet with a sweet voice if he had escaped because of that motive. The dog licked her mouth as an answer. Even his dog liked this girl. All the sudden Jason noticed something.

Were you going to sleep here? He asked looking at where she had come out from.

It´s not a bad place, good view, nice odor and so big, even to lose a dog, answered Alex with a smile while she winked her eye.

Before Jason could say how stupid his idea was, Parapet came out running to bark to some guys that were crossing the park, they made so much noise. Alex and Jason went after him, he already had the guys trapped at a corner with barks; one of the boys had reached to grab a stick and he held it against him. Bad idea.

Parapet, come here! Jason yelled with no results.

The guys, a little bit drunk, started yelling at the dog and lifted up the stick against him. Parapet didn´t stop barking and making attack movements till one of them threw the stick and it hit the dog´s nose. Seen and not seen Parapet threw himself against them with his mouth open, but it was Alex´s arm what he found and not another one. Alex, cried with pain while the guys ran out of there. As soon as Alex yelled, he let her go and he lay down beside her with this ears down, noticing his error. Jason, came to him and tied the leash, which he had hooked in the loop of his belt, before checking Alex.

Take it easy boy Alex said whispering to Parapet while he kissed his, Those bad boys provoked you, but I am not mad, sound good?

Like if the animal would hear her, he licked her face and relaxed his body.

Jason took her arm and saw a few drops that came out from his dog´s jaw incisions.

Oh my God! I am so sorry Jason didn´t know what to do, he hadn´t even heard what Alex had just said, and he just saw blood Why have you gotten in the middle?

Well surely they might had denounced him and Parapet would had end up being sacrificed, I didn´t like that idea answered shrinking his shoulders.

But your arm...come on I will take you to the hospital, surely they will have to put stitches on the wound, fuck, I am sorry, I shouldn´t had let him free, I should always carry him with a leach, but it was just so fascinating seeing him by your side...I don´t know... I am sorry, really. Are you dizzy?

Jason couldn´t stop talking while he was checking the arm. He took his t-shirt out and he left to see a perfect muscled body almost made by the same devil, because the things that you thought when you saw him, it couldn´t be God´s work.

They arrived to Jason´s car and he opened the door without a t-shirt and he helped her go inside.

Even if the view is nice Alex said, I prefer to clean myself with my jacket, we don´t want to be stopped for public scandal.

Good point Jason answered putting on his t-shirt again and helping her roll it over her arm to take her bag out so he could place her sit belt.

Being near Alex made him think of spring, like if he could smell the first flowers.

He shook his head so he could eliminate the odor, it was the first time since he fell in love with Maggs that he had thought of a girl as a woman and the idea frightened him.

He got to the driver´s seat of his dark blue Ram from2009 after assuring Parapet in the seat behind and he drove directly to the nearest hospital worried about the beautiful girl, that just had been bitten by a dog that for sure weighted more than her, and that still the only thing that worried her was that Parapet wouldn´t feel bad about what had happened.

While, he was thinking of that his heart started beating faster Damn!
