This is a new collection of five short stories, of which three are set in Pitkirtly, home of the Pitkirtly Mysteries, and two are freestanding stories.
In 'Christmas Lights', there are various theories in the local pub, the Queen of Scots, about the Christmas light sculptures that have started to appear around Pitkirtly, but Amaryllis is determined to find out where they have come from and why.
'A Very Secret Santa' is a dark tale of murder and revenge at a staff Christmas party, which doesn't end as planned for at least one of the participants.
'Landscape of Terror' is another dark tale involving a cat, an installation at an art gallery, and the fate that befalls night-time intruders.
In 'Conclusions', Christopher and Amaryllis uncover an old crime, and in 'The Wrong Idea' they almost get engaged by accident.

Cecilia Peartree is the pen name of a writer from Edinburgh.
