LEGENDS OF THE CALL

Now, the choice is endless with new manufacturers popping up all the time, most out of the USA. It got me thinking about our friend Alan Hammond and the exceptional calls Al has turned out over the last three decades.

Piece upon piece of handcrafted, perfected Hammond Game Call excellence, somewhere to the tune of 35,000 of them, sent out across the country and overseas. With approximately 30,000 waterfowl licence holders out there versus the Hammond calls sold, Al feels like he has a pretty good market share; I suggested market domination! Al is extremely proud of the fact that he sells more of his calls than all other labels combined in New Zealand. No mean feat for a one man band.

If you have ever visited Al at his home in Fruitlands, Central Otago and been privy to the mystery of “the shed”, you will know that this great product has been turned out of the humblestACDC's Thunderstruck and Al's quality banter.
