About this ebook

Have you ever wanted to punch someone?

I have and the person I wanted to punch is Malcolm Garcia, my ex-fiancé.

Two years ago, our relationship fell apart and now on Christmas Day, I'm forcefully reunited with the man that had crushed my heart into the dust.

I've imagined so many different scenarios of what I'd say or do upon when I saw him. Sometimes, I'd imagine punching him and fulfilling that goal on my bucket list and other times I imagined simply ignoring him because he wasn't worth my attention.

What I didn't imagine was kissing him under the mistletoe while our family cheered us on and that's exactly what happened.

But do you know what the worst part is?

I liked it.

    Chapter One

KISS! KISS! KISS! KISS! everyone within the house chanted and I, like the fool I am, didn’t run.

I stood there, staring into the beautiful greenish hazel eyes of Malcolm Garcia, watching in slow motion as his head dipped to mine. He was enjoying this a little too much while my anxiety was going wild. I looked up at the mistletoe above us and prayed the glamorized bush would catch fire.

My heart was pounding so hard I wondered if anyone else was hearing it the way I was. His mouth curved upwards into that beautiful smirk I both loved and hated and I swallowed hard as his lips stopped inches away from mine. I could smell his cologne as if I was the one wearing it, the strong scent licking at my nostrils.

His thick black hair was slicked back but wavy and I watched as he lifted his hand to touch one of my curls.

What do you say, beautiful? He asked me, his voice a deep baritone bass that sent chills down my spine, One kiss?

I clenched my jaw, swallowing hard and stepped closer to him, Put your crusty lips on me Malcolm and I’ll pour acid down your pants.

The people around us booed, my mom the loudest. A few others chuckled but Malcolm’s smirk remained, his eyes darting from my lips to my chocolate brown eyes. It was a tradition for our families to meet up each Christmas. Malcolm’s mother and my mother went to school together and had remained best friends their entire lives.

Now they both stood to the right of Malcolm and me, their eyes glistening with mischief.

Oh, Malcolm whispered to me, his breath fanning my face, kinky stuff, you’re such a little freak.

Malcolm and I had been perfect together, once upon a time. He understood my dark humor and I could handle his weird and random tendencies.

My mind took me back to the day things ended between us and I quickly shoved the memory away, sending it back to the far reaches of my mind where I’ve been keeping it for two years.

I rolled my eyes and turned away but his large hand wrapped around my elbow, pulling me back to him and in the next second his lips were pressed to mine.

The house erupted into loud cheers and clapping and for a second I lost myself in
