    Retire in the Philippines

Hello, did you know that there are more than 200,000 civilian Americans living in the Philippines? Have you ever wanted to know the truth on the pros and cons of living in other countries? Well my name is Gus Frantz, and this is my wife Marie. When I turned 66 in 2016 I started searching for a country I would like to live in since the US was getting a bit too expensive to retire in. I looked at Mexico Jamaica, Honduras, Brazil, Venezuela, Taiwan and China. But I chose the Philippines for several reasons. English is a second language there. Your US Dollar is worth almost twice as much there. And it has a government with the same freedoms as the US. The People are wonderful and very friendly they also welcome foreigners with open arms.

I have met many other foreigners while shopping here in the stores such as British, Australian, New Zeeland and from Ireland all with Filipino wives. My new address is now Iligan City on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines. I have been living here for over 4 years now and I really enjoy it. Life here is pleasant, relaxed and pretty peaceful. Infact I have gotten really lazy. I am sure you have heard the media talking, the trouble with Isis, terrorists and the president here but have you ever heard the truth from an American that lives here? First of all, Don't Believe The News Media!!! Or the pretty online photos, advertisements and all the lies that the travel agents put up on Google. Yes, living here can be a paradise
