Seven Pillars of Faith
()
About this ebook
THIS BOOK IS ABOUT the main points of my Christian faith. I couldn't find a book concise enough, yet full of all the important information and doctrines in one place. So I wrote it for myself and for my friends to present my faith, which I have by the mercy of God.
I will use seven pillars, which I deem to be of most importance for a Christian in search of the truth.
Seven is the foundation of God's word and It is filled with that number. If we include how many times 'sevenfold' and 'seventh' are used in the Bible, our total count jumps to eight hundred sixty references. Seven is the number of completeness and perfection. It derives much of its meaning from being tied directly to God's creation of all things. There are seven days in a week and God's Sabbath is on the seventh day.
The Bible, as a whole, was originally divided into seven major divisions. These are the Law, the Prophets, the Writings or Psalms, the Gospels and Acts, the General Epistles, the Epistles of Paul; and the book of Revelation. So I too use the number of completion. My seven pillars of faith include presupposition of God's existence, God's character and being, God's plan, Biblical view of the future, assurance in Scripture, Power of God and the Gospel of Christ.

Seven Pillars of Faith - Laurynas Milius
The first pillar – Presuppositionalism
FOR I WANT YOU TO KNOW how great a struggle I have for you and those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of the full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2 1-4)
The Bible teaches that Christ is the source of both wisdom and knowledge. I believe only Christians have justification and grounds for truth, logic, and morality. For we have His revelation and his moral law.
Stealing is not a sin because God made a random law, stealing is a sin because God is not a thief. We have God as a standard for objective morality. And we have His revelation which points us to the truth and gives us justification for our beliefs. Only Christian is capable of giving an apologetic, reasonable defence, to any epistemological question; how do we know something to be true?
We know that by God’s revelation. The one who knows all things and is omnipotent can pass the knowledge to us, and He did. Atheism, on the other hand, is having a hard time answering this question. I want to propose to you that denying God - leaves us with nothing. Frank Turek once said: An atheist has to sit in God’s lap to slap him in the face.
Everyone knows the God of the Bible and everyone has sufficient knowledge for their condemnation. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
(Romans 1:20) The Bible says that everyone knows God but they suppress their knowledge. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
(Romans 1:18)
I want to show you that even the question ‘does God exist?’ presupposes His existence. To prove anything you need three necessary things: truth, knowledge, and logic. While you may try to account for truth, knowledge, and logic without God, the rest of the chapter will expose your inability to do so and show that only with God of the Bible you can justify those necessary things for any kind of proof.
Truth is what corresponds to reality. As an atheist, how do you know anything to be true? Are you using your senses and your reasoning to determine what is true? If that is the case then you are stuck in a vicious circle, let me explain: There is no way you could know if your reasoning was invalid, because you would use your reasoning to determine your reasoning and that is a vicious circle which is a logical fallacy.
Would you agree with me that there are people in mental hospitals right now, who have a distorted view of reality? Some truly believe and are convinced of their perception of the world even if it is a false one. Using sight, hearing, and reasoning, they perceive a different
