Beyond The Kybalion

For those of you who may not be familiar with my work and my writings, primarily my books, many people think I create some bizarre theories about, but not limited to us living in a "Simulated Holographic Universe" or, SHU. In addition to this, we are all highly advanced Digital Biological Beings or DBB.

However, the truth is that we are living in such a Universe. Though, this is what makes the book, "The Kybalion" so significant. The reason being is that when The Kybalion was initially written in 1908, no one really understood what was going on within our Universe, and they did not understand much about these ideas and theories. Quantum Physics QP goes back to the early 1900s. However, because of the advancement in Modern Science, so much of QP has been proven in labs by research and experiments that lend a strong case supporting these ideas and theories.

In this book that I have written, "Beyond The Kybalion," I have included the original version of "The Kybalion" as written by and translated by the unknown authors, also referred to as the "Three Initiatives."

However, what I did was to update these ancient Hermetic theories and principles, I have modified the writings above by merging these ideas, and beliefs into the New Age, or, NA of Quantum Physics. Furthermore, as explained in some other books that I have written, the "The Quantum Secret," and "Mind Over Thought" only to name a few and that the role that they play within the teachings of this writing.

If you have never heard of "The Kybalion," or perhaps you have heard of it, yet, you are not familiar with this historical, yet, mystical writing let me explain. Therefore, the following subjects have been merged and defined with the original version of "The Kybalion."

Chapter 1

What Is The Kybalion?

The Kybalion is a compilation of Hermetic Teachings. These same doctrines are from principles initially explained by HERMES Trismegistus. The Kybalion provides a Master-Key for students to unlock the fundamental and essential instructions of esoteric philosophy. There are seven Hermetic Principles we base the entire philosophy on. Together, these seven principles make up an explanation of the fundamental laws that apply to all creation.

It attributes the work to the Three Initiates. Dig deeper, and you will discover the Hermetic content was likely passed from the late Yogi Ramacharaka to his pupil Baba Bharata to William Walker Atkinson, a prolific New Thought writer.

Who was Hermes Trismegistus?

The ancient sage HERMES Trismegistus is the source of the tenants in The Kybalion. Jewish tradition claims Trismegistus was a contemporary of the patriarch Abraham. Therefore, his teachings on Hermeticism and Hermetic laws date to over 5,000 years ago. Even while he was alive, his Wisdom reached across continents. The earliest Egyptians named him the scribe of the gods. Greeks deified him as the god of Wisdom. The ancient Romans called him Mercury. HERMES discovered alchemy, which developed into chemistry. He created the concept of astrology, which became astronomy. For his Wisdom, he is known as the Master of Masters. Trismegistus was the original form of knowledge from which the Hermetic tradition flowed.

History of The Kybalion

The Kybalion originally published in 1908 by the Yogi Publication Society and served as the modern foundation of the Hermetic doctrine. It is a critical tool for integrating our understanding of the spiritual planes and the Physical Plane.

Although the principles described in The Kybalion are found in all lands, among all religions, they have never been identified with any specific religious sectors. Instead, the lessons in the book have always been maintained with strict secrecy.

Even by today’s standards, the word Hermetic refers to sealed or protected. This concealment has been intentional. They would persecute HERMES and his followers worried. History shows this Fear was well-grounded. Throughout history, religious groups have suffered persecution, from ostracism to burning at stake. They tormented the Huguenots in France. Many non-Christians or fringe Christian sects faced torture and death at the hands of the Spanish Inquisition.

The principles of Hermetic Philosophy have always been occult, but the word has nothing to do with black magic or religion. Instead, in this sense, occult means kept secret.

Who Were the Three Initiates?

The Kybalion was written by the Three Initiates. As their name suggests, the authors were Three Initiates of Hermetic Philosophy. Historically Hermetic Teachings were passed down orally, but the Three Initiates wrote core principles of the philosophy to help it reach a wider audience. They do not name the Three Initiates, although many suspects that New Thought pioneer William Walker Anderson was one author.

They Were Warned by Ancient Teachers

One reason it never crystallized the principles in this book into a formal religious creed is HERMES, and his followers feared that doing so would dilute their teachings. History shows the Wisdom of this choice. Religions have always evolved. The Gnostics of early Christianity would scarcely recognize Christianity today. Occult religions in India and Persia degenerated over time, as did ancient mystic teachings in Greece and Rome.

The Kybalion’s Teachings: Passed Orally for Centuries!

The exact meaning and the significance of the term The Kybalion vanished centuries ago. The word itself is not understood. However, the teachings have been passed down from mouth to ear for millennia. There have always been a few faithful students who have mastered the principles and passed them on to others.

The Impact of The Kybalion

Hermetic Teachings have had a profound effect on the world. Also, students of comparative religion see the doctrines of Hermetic Philosophy in every primary faith, regardless of that faith’s origin. The Kybalion has thus had an immense impact even among people who do not realize they can trace their philosophy back to HERMES.

Why is The Kybalion is Important to Learn?

The philosophy laid out in The Kybalion makes up the basic principles of the Hermetic Art of mental alchemy. These fundamental doctrines deal with the Mastery of mental forces. When you learn to apply the Universal Laws, or, UL, you will possess the key to performing Mental Transmutation. This empowers the individual practitioner to adjust vibrational states from one to another. Mostly, by studying the laws in The Kybalion, you can learn how to change your Reality by changing your mind.

One of the tenants in The Kybalion is we live in a mental Universe. All is mind. Therefore, knowing how to come into vibrational synchronicity with this vast Universe, INFINITE Intelligence is paramount. This is the key to taking control of your life and living the life you truly desire.

Or to put it another way: when you can rise to a higher Plane, the tools of Mental Creation and manifestation will allow you to live a life more significant than you can imagine.

The Hermetic Axioms

The following are the core laws laid out in The Kybalion.

The lips of Wisdom are closed, except to the ears of understanding.

Where fall the footsteps of the Master, the ears of those ready for his teachings open wide.

When the ears of the student are ready to hear, then cometh the lips to fill them with Wisdom.

The Principles of Truth are Seven: he who knows these, understandingly, possesses the Magic Key before whose touch all the Doors of the Temple fly open.

Hermetic Principles

Below are the seven foundational principles of The Kybalion.

The Principle of Mentalism (all is mental)

The principle of Correspondence (your thoughts mirror your Reality)

The Principle of Vibration (when we resonate an emotion, we attract people who will bring more of it)

The Principle of Polarity (what seem like opposites are just varying degrees)

The Principle of Rhythm (the pendulum of life always swings)

The Principle of Cause & Effect (there are no accidents)

The Principle of GENDER (everything has both Masculine and Feminine energy)

CHAPTER 2

The Laws of Vibration 2,000 Years Ago!

Quantum Physics QP now states that Matter is merely an illusion and that everything is energy at a different frequency in vibratory Motion, also known as the Laws of Vibration, or LOV.

LOV Is something that science has only started to take seriously since the turn of the last century. However, this was something HERMES Trismegistus (the founder of the Hermetic Teachings) taught as one of the seven principles of existence and recorded the history of his teachings have dated back as far as the 1st century AD.

These teachings go further than Modern Science can quantify, but science is slowly catching up with many of the ideas shared. Here is a section on Vibration took from The Kybalion.

Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.

–The Kybalion.

The great Third Hermetic Principle-the Principle of Vibration–embodies the truth that Motion is manifest in everything in the Universe–that nothing is at rest–that everything moves, vibrates, and circles. This Hermetic Principle was recognized by the early Greek philosophers who embodied it in their systems. But, then, for centuries, it was lost sight of by the thinkers outside of the Hermetic ranks. But in the Nineteenth Century, Physical science re-discovered the truth, and the Twentieth Century scientific discoveries have added additional proof of the correctness and veracity of this centuries-old Hermetic doctrine.

The Hermetic Teachings are not only is everything in constant movement and Vibration but that the differences between the various manifestations of the universal Power are due entirely to the varying rate and mode of vibrations. Not only this, but that even THE ALL, in itself, manifests a constant Vibration of such an infinite intensity and rapid Motion it may be practically considered at rest, the teachers directing the attention of the students to the fact that even on the Physical Plane a rapidly moving object (like a revolving wheel) seems at rest. The teachings are to the effect that Spirit is at one end of the Pole of Vibration, the other Pole being certain extremely gross forms of Matter. Between these two poles are millions upon millions of different rates and modes of Vibration.

Modern Science has proven that all that we call Matter and Energy are but modes of vibratory motion, and the more advanced scientists are rapidly moving toward the positions of the occultists who hold the phenomena of MIND are likewise modes of vibration or motion. Let us see what science must say regarding vibrations in Matter and Energy.

In the first place, science teaches that all Matter manifests, to some degree, the vibrations arising from temperature or heat. Be an object cold or hot–both being but degrees of the same things–it manifests specific heat vibrations, and in that sense, is in Motion and Vibration. Then all particles of Matter are in a circular movement, from corpuscle to suns. The planets revolve around suns, and many of them turn on their axes. The suns move around more magnificent central points, and these are believed to move around still more significant, and infinite.

The molecules of which the kinds of Matter are composed in a state of constant Vibration and moving around each other and. The molecules are composed of atoms, which, likewise, are in a state of continuous movement and Vibration. The atoms are composed of Corpuscles, sometimes called electrons, ions, etc., which also are in a state of rapid Motion, revolving around each other, and which manifest a high-speed state and mode of Vibration. And, so we see that all forms of Matter manifest Vibration, following the Hermetic Principle of Vibration. And so, it is with the various forms of energy.

Science teaches Light, Heat, Magnetism, and electricity are but types of vibratory Motion connected in some way with, and probably emanating from the Ether. Science does not as yet attempt to explain the phenomena known as Cohesion, the principle of Molecular Attraction; nor Chemical Affinity, the principle of Atomic Attraction; nor Gravitation (the greatest mystery of the three), the Laws of Attraction by which every particle or mass of Matter is bound to every other particle or mass. These three forms of energy are not yet understood by science, yet the writers incline to the opinion that these too are manifestations of some type of vibratory energy, a fact which the Hermetists have held and taught for ages past.

The Ethereal Substance

The Universal Ether, postulated by science without its nature being understood clearly, is held by the Hermetists to be but a higher manifestation of that erroneously called Matter– to say, Matter at a higher Vibration and is called by them The Ethereal Substance, or ES.

The Hermetists teach this Ethereal Substance is of extreme tenuity and elasticity, and pervades universal space, serving as a medium of transmission of waves of vibratory energy, including heat, light, electricity, magnetism, etc. The teachings are The Ethereal Substance is a connecting link between the forms of vibratory energy known as Matter on the one hand, and Energy or Force on the other; also, it manifests Vibration, in rate and mode, entirely its own.

But the Hermetic Teachings go much further than do those of Modern Science. They teach that all manifestation of thought, emotion, reason, will or desire, or any mental state or condition, are accompanied by vibrations, a portion of which are thrown off and which tend to affect the minds of other persons by induction.
