1

BOBBI

Let’s get this party started! Bobbi’s cousin screeched as she threw glitter around the room.

The room was full of Bobbi’s cousins and she’d shoved herself into the least populated corner she could find. For the past hour, since they’d checked into their hotel, the whole flock of them had been guzzling frozen liquor and leering at every man in their vicinity.

It was a relief when her cousin, Janice, had recommended they head to their suite. Of course, Bobbi should have known something was up when the female had waggled her eyebrows and winked at her.

There were seven tall, thin, blondes dancing around the room in their t-shirts and underwear. Bobbi looked out the window at the lights of Las Vegas with a sigh. Her eyes slowly focused on her own mousy reflection. Her light-brown hair was cut short and framed a roundish face. She never wore makeup, not that it would help her looks anyway. The only thing she had in common was their very dark eyes.

Her fingers tugged at the collar of her button-up shirt, then she smoothed her hands over her khaki shorts.

Bobbi! Janice shouted in her ear and snapped her from her own thoughts. Pull your head out of the sand and dance with us.

I’m not real—

Don’t bum us out on my last days as a free woman, Laura slurred from where she hung her head over the end of the sofa.

The triplets were lined up at the coffee table with looks of identical distaste.

Why’d we have to bring her anyhow? The one in the middle griped.

Hannah, she’s my maid of —

I’m Hester. The girl interrupted Laura.

Fine! Laura glared at their cousin and turned to the one on her left. Hannah, explain to you—

I’m Helen.

I don’t care who you are, Laura boomed. Bobbi has been my best friend since I was born, she’s my maid of honor, and I want her here.

Laura kicked her feet against the sofa cushions as she struggled to get up.

Bobbi’s cousin, Laura, was getting married in just over a week. The eight of them were vacationing in Las Vegas until the groom and their families arrived for the nuptials. Since they were small, all eight of them had been forced together by their moms. Bobbi knew the rest of her cousins never wanted her included, but Laura had always been there for her. The least she could do was be there for Laura now.

I’m sorry, she sighed as she struggled to her feet.

Alright! Janice yelled as she turned the volume up on the TV which was blaring a variety of rock music. Now… get the librarian a drink!

Before Bobbi could protest, one of the triplets was shoving her shorts down as another settled a wine glass in her hand. When she grasped at her waistband, the girls slapped at her hands while the third triplet stepped forward and lifted the glass to her lips.

Drink, Hester ordered.

Who wants to order room service? Lola, Laura’s younger sister, asked as she lifted the phone to her ear.

Have them send us up more of these metal cups of frozen goodness, Lana urged her older sister.

Bobbi almost choked when she started to respond to her cousins and Hester tipped the wine glass further. Forcing her to drink the entire glass in only about five seconds at the most.

Two of the triplets were still trying to take off her shorts and Bobbi had had enough. Slapping at their hands she let out several long honks of noise.

Get the fuck off of me, Bobbi cursed, and then realizing what she’d said, she slapped her hand to her mouth.

Oh, my Goddess! Bobbi cursed, Janice bellowed from the doorway to the bathroom where she was currently doing an impersonation of
