About this ebook

"They are going to think I'm nuts!" Renu Arora was a scientist, an atheist, and a skeptic before discovering energy healing, and this constant refrain repeated in her head as she made one mind-blowing discovery after the next.

Consequently, Renu made it her life's purpose to understand and explain the science behind all she has experienced of the world of energy, from the awe-inspiring, to the fun, to the crazy, the wild and beautiful. To take the "woo woo" out of energy work.

The Energy Healing Bible examines such concepts as how the subconscious communicates with us, the Law of Attraction, past and parallel lives, ghosts and other spirits, crystal therapy, inner children, Akashic Records, energy fields, guardian angels, planetary interferences and so much more.

With the knowledge amassed in this book, Renu created a healing modality, the Accelerated Release Technique (ART), which she has used to facilitate extraordinary healing for hundreds of individuals over just a few years. Anxiety, depression, pain, hair loss, morning sickness, fears, phobias, limiting beliefs, strained relationships, and difficulty sleeping are just a handful of the problems her clients have overcome through using ART.

Do you seek to understand the energy picture? Do you yearn to heal yourself or others? Then The Energy Healing Bible was written for you.

The Energy Healing Bible - Renu Arora

    About this book

The purpose of this book is to give you an understanding of the world of energy. I have spent years of my life putting together the pieces of this amazing, exquisite, intricate puzzle and it is my privilege and honour to be able to present it to you. As a result of this knowledge, I have been able to construct a healing modality, the Accelerated Release Technique (ART) that takes into account all that I have learned, and I am utterly thrilled to share that with you as well. I believe that we all have an innate ability to heal ourselves, and with the tools I am about to present to you, anything is possible.

This book is divided into four parts. The first part chronicles my experience as an energy healer. Compared to so many of the wonderful people I have met over the past few years, some of whom have had an inherent knowing since before I was alive, my journey from complete newbie and skeptic to where I am today has been relatively short. I feel as though once I decided that I wanted to understand everything there was to understand about this crazy, complex, beautiful, mysterious world, I was gifted with more experiences than any person could reasonably expect!

And when I say skeptic, that might be an understatement. I was a complete non-believer. I was an atheist, I was (and still consider myself) a scientist, trained in biochemistry, and I had zero tolerance for anything that was outside of what the western, scientific world deemed to be true. If there was no double-blind, placebo-controlled study for a theory, I had no interest in hearing about it. I also believed that anyone who believed in God, spirits, or Angels was deluding themselves because they couldn’t see the cold, hard truth of the world, convinced they held those beliefs just to make themselves feel better.

So I fought this journey every step of the way, kicking and screaming because I didn’t want to believe the world was not the way I thought it was.

That said, I have an open mind. And the mind of a scientist. If you could convince me of something, show me how it worked, and teach me to do it, then double-blind study or not, I was willing to believe my own senses. It is more important to know the truth than be right.

The order in which the Universe shared this knowledge with me was the one in which I was ready to experience it, but it is not the way I am presenting it in this book. That said, I aim to convey the wonder in which I received each new piece so you may learn as I learned, grow as I grew, and have a little fun along the way.

The second part of the book describes the nature of the subconscious, and more specifically how it communicates with us so we can understand its messages.

Part three is more theoretical. I share the finer details of what I’ve learned, how it all fits together within the bigger energy picture, and why it is important to know.

In the final section, I describe (possibly in more detail than you want) the ins and outs of the Accelerated Release Technique (ART): how it works, the exact methodology, and tips and tricks to get to the root of and free yourself from your issues faster than you can imagine.

    Part 1

    Chronicles of an Energy Healer

    Chapter 1

    Where It All Began:

    We Are Energy Beings

I mentioned previously that I was a scientist and a skeptic…so how on Earth did I fall into this line of work, anyway?

After I achieved my degree in science, I practiced as a registered dietitian for almost a decade before my crash course in energy healing began.

It started with an innocuous trip to my children’s school parent council meeting in November 2012. I was the co-president on the council, and the other co-president and I were asked to attend an evening educational event being held at one of the local schools. When dinner was being served I noticed my companion, Adriane, making some unusual food requests. Being a dietitian, and nosy, I asked her why she was asking for those modifications. With a huge sigh she admitted that she was at the end of her rope trying to treat a persistent case of eczema and she was following the orders of a — insert eye-roll — naturopath.

Did I mention how I didn’t tolerate practices that weren’t firmly in the camp of western, scientific medicine? In my view, naturopaths didn’t know there even was a camp!

Adriane felt the same way, so we commiserated about how she had tried every doctor and specialist she could find over the past six years and had nothing but some heavy-duty creams to show for it. She also shared a strange experience she had had with this naturopath. He had apparently done some tests on her using only her finger strength as a guide. Demonstrating what it looked like, she said sometimes certain substances would make her fingers feel strong, and other times, they would pop open and she had no strength. Little did I know she was describing what would eventually be the hook that pulled me into the world of energy: muscle testing. (Muscle testing is described in detail in Part 2, pages 39-49.)

The following month we met at another school function, and I asked Adriane how her diet (actually, a cleanse) was going. To (both of our) shock and disbelief, she told me it was working! Her eczema was improving! Was she seriously telling me that six years of specialists didn’t make a dent in her problem, but a naturopath with a finger test had managed to figure it out? Apparently, she was. I was left scratching my head.

In January 2013, serendipity stepped in and I received an answer to my question. I was at a networking event, working to grow my dietetics practice, when I met a holistic nutritionist (I had nothing but disdain for holistic nutritionists as well). The second she found out I was a dietitian (and before I could extricate myself from what I thought was going to be a waste of time) she excitedly asked me if I’d heard of Bioenergetic Intolerance Elimination (BIE). I admitted I hadn’t, so she launched into a description. I honestly would have tuned out, but she mentioned something called muscle testing and made the same finger gestures that Adriane had made only two months prior. Curiosity piqued, I had to listen.

She provided a fascinating explanation of how the body relates to the things around us and how BIE worked. It was fascinating enough that when she told me the institute where this modality was taught was in a city only 15 minutes away from where I lived, I knew I would check it out.

So, within the week I did. I made an appointment to meet Rob Tomilson, the creator of BIE at the Institute of Natural Health Technologies (INHT), to learn more.

I will never forget my experience in Rob’s office and in the days and weeks following.

Rob wanted to show me exactly how BIE worked, so I told him that I had an intolerance to soy, and that anytime I ate it I would experience severe gas and bloating several hours later (usually the next morning). He produced a vial of soy and used muscle testing (also called biofeedback analysis or applied kinesiology) to test my response to it. I had never experienced anything like it! I’m naturally very strong, but in the presence of that little jar of soy I felt weak as a kitten. It was unreal! Then he used his fancy machine to pulse the frequency of the soy vial through my body, essentially teaching my body to recognize soy.

The whole process took about 10 minutes after which he said simply, OK, you’re good to go.

You mean I can eat soy now? I said in disbelief.

    Yes.

Huh? Completely incredulous, I waited a couple of days before deciding that I had to give it a try to know whether it worked or not. And I wanted to be sure — really sure —I wasn’t imagining any improvement, so I ate a much larger amount of soy than I normally would, convinced that I was going to be seriously suffering the next morning. To my utmost surprise, I woke up feeling nothing. Not a burble. Not a twinge. My stomach felt rock solid.

    It worked?

I immediately signed up to take Rob’s next BIE course. And my journey into energy work truly began.

"Upon meeting Renu and having the unique and powerful moments of experiencing ART, my life changed completely. Talk about accelerating my development; afterwards I had a renewed awareness and appreciation for my past and how it affects me presently. As a fellow ‘release’ artist I was and am profoundly impressed by the efficiency of the Accelerated Release Technique. A bible indeed, as it is too good not to share with the world. People and our life experiences will reap a great benefit from learning about Renu’s approach to loving our pasts.

Thank you, Renu, for sharing and caring, your work will change the world."

    Chapter 2

    It’s All About the Emotions

Not long after starting as a BIE practitioner, I met a woman who turned out to be the foundation of the biggest turning point in my life. Unfortunately, she has been burned in the past when she has drawn attention to herself, so regrettably, but understandably, she has requested to remain anonymous in my work. I’ll call her Sophia, which means wisdom. Sophia was, and still is, an intuitive counsellor, hypnotherapist, Reiki master, and all-around extraordinary energy healer.

We met after a friend and colleague — despite my protestations (skeptic, remember?) — insisted that we do a Reiki course together. Eventually I relented and with a quick search on the internet found that Sophia offered trainings in Reiki. Without much ado, we booked it.

I took the course, and while I was still unconvinced that anything happened during it that wasn’t just in my head, there was something about Sophia that intrigued me. She must have felt the same way because we decided to explore each other’s modalities. I showed her BIE and she showed me more about the world of energy than I could have imagined possible. We somehow got the idea that we would combine BIE and Reiki, so we started to meet weekly at her place and test out our theories with her friends and clients who were willing and available.

In the meantime, Sophia would say things like With BIE, how do you make sure the problem doesn’t come back? to which I would say, Why would the problem come back? Once you teach the body the frequency it’s missing, the problem just goes away.

With a sigh "Oh, Renu, the body is creating the problem for a reason. If you don’t get to the underlying cause, the problem will come back, or some other thing will take its place to get your attention."

In my head: Sophia, you’re crazy.

In December 2013, I had an experience that forced me to rethink everything I had previously known about the world and how it works.

In searching for a file on my computer, I ran across a whole mess of documents I had received from INHT after my BIE course that I hadn’t yet sorted through. One particular document intrigued me: BIE and emotions. The contents of the document left me gobsmacked. Kory Monteith, a BIE practitioner in British Columbia, wrote a description with a step-by-step process to follow, saying that, if one can get to the emotional root cause of an intolerance, the BIE practitioner won’t even need the machine to resolve it. Seriously? That sounded exactly like the same mumbo-jumbo Sophia had been telling me. But Kory does BIE! She believes in science! How is this possible?

So I called her. She reiterated that issues we face are merely signs there is some unresolved experience from our past and our subconscious is simply trying to get our attention to look at them and resolve them. I remember that conversation vividly, and one sentence she said in particular: Isn’t it crazy that a person can die from a peanut? And I remember thinking how right she was: that something so small and insignificant to one person may mean life or death to another; and how it doesn’t make sense cosmically that someone could die from something so small. I think this really hit home because my own daughter had her own, thankfully non-life-threatening, allergy to peanuts, and it never made sense to me that there was no reason for it.

As fortune would have it, a couple of days later I had the chance to test out everything Kory had taught me.

It was when a new client, CG, came to me to address several food intolerances he was experiencing. Following the BIE protocol, I first muscle tested him on all my food vials — about 100 or so — and discovered some level of intolerance to at least 40 of them. That was huge! I thought about the bi-weekly sessions he would need to address them for months after to ensure that he was free from reaction to all the foods. Wondering if there might be a better way, I asked if he was willing to try a new technique I had learned to correct intolerances. I was pleasantly surprised when he said yes.

Pulling out the resources (essentially three sheets of paper with lists of both positive and negative emotions), we got to work using muscle testing to speak directly to his subconscious.

We decided to work first on dairy. I asked, Is there an emotional root cause to this intolerance to dairy? To my everlasting shock, his muscles strengthened, answering, Yes! Then, How many clues will be needed to figure out what it is? One? No. Two? Yes. Really?

The biggest shock of all came when I asked his subconscious to tell me what the clues were. Just a few yes or no questions were needed to narrow down which sheets, then which columns and finally which rows. I had just printed up these pages off the internet; I had no idea what was on them. And CG certainly had never seen these before. How on Earth did his subconscious know what to point to?

Not having time to puzzle over it, I continued. The clues we found were anger and, I believe, frustration. Next, we zeroed in on an age — he was 26, meaning that the event had taken place 10 years previously. Finally, we asked questions to discover who else was involved, eventually settling on his mother only. Looking at all these pieces of information, I asked, Did you have an argument with your mother 10 years ago?

In less than two seconds, and to my utter astonishment, he answered, I remember that argument!

It’s a good thing I was already seated or I might have fallen to the floor.

It was the year he got married and, while he came from a Hindu vegetarian household, his fiancée did not. Consequently, when he told his mother he was going to stop being vegetarian, a huge argument erupted.

Our next step in the protocol was to release the life event. Kory had suggested that I ask my clients to write out how they feel about their life events, and then take those sheets and destroy them. This can be a very powerful technique as writing out one’s feelings energetically removes it from the body and transfers them to the page, while destroying the page then releases the emotions. When we finished, CG’s subconscious indicated that we were done. So, we retested the dairy vial, and again, to my shock, I discovered that the vial was now testing strong. Kory was right!

We decided to try another one. More surprises…that one was strong, too. They were all strong! How could that be?

At that point we pieced together the story. CG’s many food intolerances didn’t develop all at once, rather they increased very slowly over many years, first one thing, then another and another. The interesting thing, however, was the first foods he began reacting to were meats. Think about that for a second. The argument was about him eating meat, so his subconscious was using a reaction to meat as a sign for him to remember the argument and resolve it. When it didn’t work, his subconscious had to work even harder to get his attention, so it began reacting to all sorts of foods. Eventually, he was reacting to so many foods that he needed to do something about it, and found me. Once we uncovered the life event at the root, his subconscious no longer needed to signal him anymore, so all the intolerances disappeared in one fell swoop!

Sophia knew what she was talking about. We really do have all our problems for a reason, and after seeing — facilitating, even! — this experience, I was convinced of the truth of that statement. I also just learned about my first type of stuck energy: life events. There are some events from our past that stick with us until we find out what we needed to learn from them, resolve them, and let them go.

"I had seen various professionals and practitioners to address anxiety and depression stemming from childhood trauma. Things had gotten so bad that I had to take a leave from work. These efforts were always time consuming and barely touched the heart of the matter. I was initially skeptical that Renu’s work would be any more effective; however I found that she was able to quickly assess and give me fresh insight into the challenges that I was facing. This gave me a simple and effective way to address and move past the pain of childhood trauma. After one or two appointments I was already feeling invigorated and able to begin my transition
