    Janice Althorpe was seated on a funeral pew, at the back of the church. Holding a handkerchief to her eyes, the tears tumbling repeatedly, Janice tried to compose herself as best she could, breathing in and out. She could not believe Charles Fallmont was dead; his private plane disappeared into the ocean that fateful day two weeks ago, and her life changed forever after this event. This past week had been nothing but a nightmare, one she felt could not change, with Charles absent from her life.

    Charles, for Janice, was everything that life had abstained from giving her all these years. His undivided support of her, from the day she began as a secretary in Fallmont Corporation, to their eventual love affair, meant everything to Janice. Janice had never met anyone quite like Charles; tall, brown hair with shiny brown eyes, and in fabulous shape. It appeared that his private gym at the Fallmont complex had paid off well for him, Janice admiring his trim physique on many an occasion.
