About this ebook

A journey across Europe on the Orient Express. What could possibly go wrong?

When Fotherington-Tomas and Maxwell board the world-famous train in Paris, little do they know that murder most foul will be committed before their Beef Wellington has time to go cold.

Why was the Archduke Augustus Pimpernel Stockholm-Syndrome slain in front of his lover, Cerise de Pink? Who is responsible for such a heinous crime and why is a fat, little detective, with a finely groomed moustache, upstaging Britain’s greatest secret agent and super sleuth?

Find out in this, the latest instalment of The Adventures of Fotherington-Tomas. Just make sure that you’ve got a return ticket!

Author

R.A. Gregory

R.A. Gregory (a.k.a. Robin Alexander Gregory or just plain old Rob Gregory) is an author and animal welfare consultant who splits his time predominantly between Northern Thailand and New Zealand, writing books, helping people to help animals and generally trying to live as contrarian a life as is possible. Consequently, he aspires to no particular genre or style, just tries to write stories that he hopes will make people smile a bit and think about how absurd the world really is (and how much better it would be if he were in charge).

Night had fallen by the time that Fotherington-Tomas and Maxwell reached Waterloo Station, only to find that the Eurostar now departed from St Pancras.

Damn and blast! Why do they always have to keep changing things? thundered Fotherington-Tomas. He scanned the taxi stand for a horse-drawn carriage to take them the three miles to St Pancras, but the rank was deserted. A converted Barn Owl hooted in the darkness, then swooped on an unsuspecting railway rat, while the dismal shadows offered nothing, not even an unlicensed minicab, to ferry them to their destination.

After a short pause, Maxwell pointed to the sign for the Underground and Fotherington-Tomas shuddered. "To think that it has come to this. Forced to traverse the Capital within the bowels
