About this ebook
Archaeologists, Victoria Ventures and Tommy Garrison, cross the final Disneyland park off their Bucket List. In this sixth and final installment of the Under The Magic Series, the spelunking couple flies to California and checks into the Grand Californian Hotel. During an earthquake, they evacuate their hotel and stand by the pool. They watch in horror as a large crack appears in the ground and makes its way to the 'Happiest place on Earth'. Luckily, the theme parks are spared, but the crack reached the pool and drained it. But where did the water go? Victoria and Tommy pack their cave exploring paraphernalia and rock-climbing gear and descend into the enormous crack in the Earth. Jules Verne was right, the Earth is hollow after all, and they discover the most amazing archaeological find Under The Magic!

Plutonium Princess - Terri Talley Venters
Prologue
Minerva awoke to the soothing sounds of the sea, just as she did each morning. An early riser, she thrived on the solitude of her early morning swim. She meandered through the palace as her family slumbered. Arriving at the terrace, she jettisoned herself into the peaceful serenity of the open water.
She began her routine at mach speed, waking up her body and mind as her lithe form cut through the water like a spear. Invigorated from the aqua sprint, she dove towards the depths of the sea.
Swimming at the bottom of the ocean, she admired the tiny seahorses with their tails wrapped around the plant branches. The sand, undisturbed, sparkled as the rays of the morning sun breached the water’s surface and illuminated the ocean floor.
Minerva froze. A Great White shark swam nearby. She prayed the carnivorous creature wouldn’t sense her presence. The shark appeared occupied with a bloody carcass at the surface. More sharks joined the Great White and his feeding frenzy.
A dark shadow loomed over her, blocking the sun’s rays from the surface. Scared, Minerva knew the shadow’s source before she verified the terrifying object above—a boat.
She swam away and headed home, wishing she’d never left the safety of Atlantis, at least what was left of it. Thousands of years ago, an earthquake opened a giant fissure in the floor of the Atlantic Ocean. Atlantis sank into the ocean floor, leaving only the tippy top of the gold palace on the bottom of the ocean. That’s when the mermaids moved in and took over what little remained of Atlantis.
A wall of rope came towards Minerva. It extended from the surface to the floor with its sides angled towards her. She knew the dangers of the net because she’d witnessed it capture her fellow Atlanteans before. She retreated from the dangers of mankind’s fishing net, but sensed a presence behind her. Fearful, she turned to face yet another enemy—the Great White shark!
The enormous creature swam towards Minerva, trapping her between the net and his carnivorous intentions. He lunged towards her with closed eyes, but missed. She darted away from the great beast, never taking her eyes off the predator. She realized her mistake as the ropes of the net caught her fin.
The shark retreated and avoided the net. But the net closed around Minerva, and she struggled. Then hopelessness sank in, and she stopped squirming. Tears flowed as the net lifted her up towards the surface.
Crunched together with a mixture of fish, seaweed and trash, she saw the morning sun as the net raised her out of the water and onto the wooden deck of the fishing boat.
Captain, we’ve caught a mermaid!
Chapter One
A re you going to tell me which hotel we are staying at?
Tommy Garrison asked from the backseat of an Uber.
After landing at LAX Airport, the archaeological couple headed straight to Disneyland. This trip represented the final Disneyland park around the world. After their magical first date at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, they vowed to visit all six Disneyland locations around the world—Orlando, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Anaheim.
Shooting him a playful glare, Victoria Ventures said, Now you know how it feels,
she referred to their reversed roles. Normally, Tommy planned their Disney trips. But this time, she planned their trip to the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California. She insisted because the main purpose of this particular trip was to plan their wedding at the ‘Happiest Place on Earth.’ They’d just set the date for December 21st, the anniversary of the day they met at Lilly’s and Grier’s wedding at Castle Garrison in Scotland’s Isle of Skye.
You’re going to say it, aren’t you,
Tommy accurately predicted.
Laughing, she nodded and said, Can’t you just be surprised?
Shaking his head in mock frustration, he said, You really enjoyed that, didn’t you?
Dern straight.
She kissed his cheek.
Tommy pulled her close, then kissed her.
Get a room. Oh wait, you did.
The Uber driver laughed.
With almost a year to plan their magical wedding at Disneyland, she was thrilled to get started. She’d even perused the Disneyland wedding website during their long transpacific flight. There were a dozen venues to choose from. In fact, several were located at their hotel.
Their Uber driver pulled into the semi-circle driveway at the entrance to the hotel.
