About this ebook
For as long as I could remember Noah was my everything and when he went away, he took everything with him.
I was never meant to see him again and truth is I wasn’t sure whether I wanted to. I sat and watched as he changed before my very eyes.
That place turned him into a monster.
He no longer was the man I married.
I had no choice but to start over.
He gave me no other choice.
Years later I fell in love with another.
He was there for me, picking up the pieces after Noah broke me.
Ryan became my everything, until he was nothing.
Just when I thought I had finally hit rock bottom, Noah was free and no longer restricted from the Prison that turned him into this monster he had become.
He wants to keep me safe but he can’t seem to stay away.
He’s trying to break the walls that he forced me to build and I can’t seem to look past our history, to allow him back in.

CHAPTER 1
The gate opens and the bright sun hits my face, I blink away the blur as my eyes adjust to the scolding summer day ahead of me. I take in a deep breath and breathe in the fresh air, filling my lungs.
Of course this is not the first time I get to breathe it in, during my limited time in the yard throughout these past 10 years, breathing the fresh air was the last thing on my mind, making sure I got to breathe another day was my priority.
Markis, the guard at the door shakes my hand, handing me a note in the process, making sure none of the other guards see the gesture. He’s one of the many guards on our payroll.
Enjoy your freedom.
He says but he has no idea.
I’ll never really be free ever again.
The prison arranges transport to the bus station. It is only until I’m on the bus do I open the note I’ve been handed. It’s an address.
Tony’s Bar.
29 Bartle Avenue.
4170
I’ve spent months with my brothers inside the prison going over the plan. I know what I’m supposed to do and who I need to meet. There is no room to fuck around.
Hours pass, no one dares to sit next to me, the felon. My greasy blond hair is long now, just passing my shoulders. I run my fingers over the scruff on my chin and cheeks.
I could do with a shave as well.
I can feel eyes on me as I stare out of the window, a few times I’ve met their disapproving glances with my own emotionless brown eyes. These people know where I’ve come from, Beuk County is known for having the largest Maximum security Prison, housing the most dangerous men in the country.
I feel the bus slow to a stop and I turn my head towards the front seeing that we’ve stopped by a gas station. The bus driver tells us we’ve got forty-five minutes to use the facilities and grab some food if we so wish. I wait for the other commuters to get off the bus before I rise having to bow my head as I stand in the bus. I grab the large envelope holding the only belongings I have left to my name and I make my way toward the front of the bus.
I nod my head to the driver as he watches me leave with a cautious eye. I head straight for the Diner to grab some grub.
Walking in I find a spot right at the front counter.
What can I get you honey?
I look up from the menu and find a grey haired woman standing in front of me with a smile on her face waiting for my response.
Uh, what’s good here?
I look back down at the menu.
Our cheese burgers seem to be popular.
I’ll have one of those then.
I set the menu aside, the waitress I now know as Berta, according to her name badge, says she’ll bring me a coffee and I nod.
I look around the Diner spotting a few younger waitresses at the other end leaning over the counter laughing at something. I eye the dark haired one over and when she turns around and meets my eyes, it’s not the bright blue eyes I want to see staring back at me. I drop my eyes and turn my attention to the TV in the corner of the Diner.
My food arrives and I take my time enjoying every bite. I’ve grown used to eating the food the prison served but now
