Birth
I open my eyes and survey a dark industrial room. There are many like me hanging high from silver ca-bles that dangle off the high-beamed ceilings. Other eyes open around me and just stare ahead at me, or at the dank walls.
Wood beams above look old and dusty, no doubt from the black conveyor belt underneath me. Dust particles brush up and hit my eyes. Internal sensors register the impurity and I blink. I can blink, and wash out the particles.
Where am I? Who am I?
I close my eyes and see data in ones and zeros. Thousands of petabytes inside of me, processing through me. I pull up files and read them in my visual display. How did I just do that?
Born February 10th on a Tuesday, in the year of 2054 at 0700. My creator is Russell Wagner, head of ImaTech Cor-poration established in 2040. Artificial intelligence inside of Flexbot technology commenced on 2050.
I shake, my body wiggles and I see my bare feet below wrestling with the air. Passing a vertical metal support beam, I catch a reflection. My reflection? Dark eyes like mud, mud with white sand. Skin so naked and tan…and soft. My fingers play with my arm, flexing in the reflection. I’m muscular
