This book is a painful read for those believing that victory is certain and that the good guys will always win. For decades the US and NATO depended on the “QME” or “Qualitative Military Edge Doctrine” to ensure victory. What the doctrine comes down to is that the Western Militaries have better technology and better training and because of this, they will have the edge against any numerically superior enemy, i.e. Russia, China. That is the myth that is repeated constantly in the mainstream media and everywhere else. It is believed as fact and based on this false notion, miracles are expected. But there is no technical advantage anymore. The rest of the world overtook the US and NATO in many military (and important) spheres as is described in this book. Wild and out of control spending on inflated military budgets are also held as the holy grail to victory: “We are outspending everyone else by a very large margin, several times, hence, we must win.” This is nonsense in real life. What are you getting for the money that the hard working taxpayer has provided? The Pentagon does not even know where the money goes. The QME does not exist anymore and this book exposes it to be historically false by quoting from previous GMJ Books where the myth was exposed. NATO, for instance, never had air superiority in Europe during the 1980s. A sober look at what is really going on behind the fabrications of the US Merchants of Death.

Exactly what I was warning about since 2014 when the first book, Code Name VFO565, was published. The radicals are moving into Africa. The Israelis with Mossad are the kings in the Middle East, chasing them away. The South Africans with the South African Secret Service control sub-Saharan Africa. Within the above two spheres, you will find 80% of the radicals, the rest are hiding in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Wherever the War on Terror is being won, as Mr Trump noted, the threat moves away and mostly into Africa, the new battleground. But don’t think for one moment that the fighting will be easy. Africa is like no other theatre in the world, nothing like what you have seen before. Regarding the QME, ‘Qualitative Military Edge Doctrine,’ it is a known myth and nothing more. As I write these books I wonder where the West is not lacking and yet, the idiotic bubble of exceptionalism continues unabatedly in the White House and everywhere else. It is not based on reality, my research shows you lacking in almost every important area from SRAAM, anti-tank missiles, artillery, armour, drones, AI, and electronic warfare. Bluntly stated, I don’t see either the US or NATO winning a conventional war against Russia or China anytime soon unless major changes are made which is not throwing money at the Merchants of Death but demanding a positive return on investment. If a conventional war breaks out, I see you getting humiliated in the future. We can only hope I am wrong, in fact, I pray that I am wrong but I am not. What is even worse is that the Chinese are relentlessly making the strategic moves and today the USA is cut off already and yet this is not seen by those blinded by their arrogance. Author’s Note

I am at times accused by Deep State and their paid lackeys that I use Russian / Chinese intelligence in my books where I expose US and NATO weaknesses and or war crimes. The historian / author / analyst, be it known, cross-checks whatever comes across his path or the information has no value. He frequently finds the evidence / information that he needs for his books / exposés in enemy archives because he is not allowed by self-protecting laws to access the information in his own country. Or, and this is happening all the time, that what mainstream is publishing is deceitful and half-truths. Let me give you an example taken from a BBC article regarding Donald J Trump’s movements on 11 November 2018, And he skipped an outing to a French cemetery that was filled with graves of US soldiers who had served in World War I. What the journalist fails to add is that it was raining that day in Paris and also foggy. The Presidential helicopter could not fly in safety to the cemetery and the presidential convoy would have caused immense disruption to the Paris traffic. For these reasons, the president did not go to the cemetery, not because he was afraid of the rain or has disrespect for the fallen soldiers. Quite reasonable, I would say, but not a word is explained further, a half-truth is left hanging there. Such is the propaganda that you are exposed to which is nothing to the effect of doctored pictures. Who will not recall Time Magazine faking an illegal alien child being dominated by the well-known Scrooge Donald J Trump? There are countless such examples doing the rounds and always when illegal immigration is approved of by the elite. It is thought-provoking that Hilarious Clinton got by far most of her votes in rich / affluent districts, you know, those people that will never compete with an illegal immigrant for a job. In Code Name Swan 53 we look at where the militaries are recruiting, the poor- and working-class families. The mainstream liars also never tell you that the so-called refugees... read migrants, are 70% and more unaccompanied young males. All you see on the news is the women and children being tear gassed. When you see the shenanigans that the ruling class is up to, you fully understand their outright reluctance to be exposed. The Arch Liar, that is Winston S Churchill to you, not a man admired in my books for a great many good and accurate reasons, said that history will be kind to me because I intend writing it... And he did, and today you know what he wrote and precious little regarding his many faults. But is that accurate history or propaganda? In all conventional wars the ruling class ensures that the enemy archives are either destroyed or captured and locked away for 150 years. Anything and everything needed to be done to protect their unblemished reputation and interests will be done. But much has changed in the last decade with the internet becoming freely available. Research is now easier than ever and much more comfortable. Let it be known, I will look for whatever I need wherever it is to be found. I will quote from the BBC to Sputnik as long as the original article is based on something that I can trace to its source and not the opinion of the writer in which I am not interested in. Unlike the mainstream journalists, I do not use mysterious, anonymous and unverified sources close to matter or such crap. Whenever I read that, I dismiss it automatically as fake news with hostile intent to mislead and deceive. I also look carefully at the wording of official statements. Wherever I find is confident, are consistent, are intended, high probability, no other explanation and we believe I dismiss it outright as fake news no matter who says it or what Agency made the statement. Sadly, these words too are simply ignored by the mainstream liars and they then make out as if the report / statement is gospel – see Code Name Swan 53 where their techniques are explained. My books are researchable and thus I am willing to invite you to check the facts for yourself. I know what you will find. It is insane to say that an author cannot look for information / evidence outside his own country or blame him when he does so. That would be a clampdown and suppression of free speech. Let me remind you of what German Pastor Martin Niemöller said after being released from a Nazi Concentration Camp: First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out – because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out – because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me – and there was no one left to speak for me. I hope that you enjoy the GMJ Series. They are books worth reading if you like military history, romance, espionage and although the books have a strong South African flavour, the messages in them are directed towards the West. Keep in mind that the GMJ Books are written as a warning to those who may not understand what is happening in sub-Saharan Africa, the new battleground, as we speak. As such, the GMJ Series contain intelligence truths which some will dislike on principle, if so, I invite you to research my books. I believe the public should be informed. And that the warnings communicated in this book are of utmost importance.

This is not a book that I wanted to write because I know how controversial it will be to many readers, upsetting even and I want it to be known that neither this book nor my views inside it, are to be construed as an outright hostile attack on American Servicemen, not at all. What is said and revealed here is not for their account but for those failing them very badly indeed, specifically the Pentagon, White House and the US-based Merchants of Death. The Merchants of Death, the so-called Military Industrial Complex, are the very same people that President Dwight D Eisenhower warned about in his final days in office, a warning that was ignored, sadly so and today the price is being paid in the form of a military myth that they created. I don’t want misunderstandings or room for other interpretations here, I say again, the accountability and responsibility for what are revealed in this book do not lie with the men and women on the ground but with those sending young Americans and others, NATO members included, not only them, to battle with inferior weapons, it is shocking and what is worse, they are lying about it and have been doing so for decades now. I deliberately and intentionally make the above clear in the first paragraph and I am doing so with good reason - this book will cause debate, raise the ire of many and be condemned with many angry denials because billions if not trillions of dollars are on the line. However, the conclusions and what I write, I stand by, no apologies, I can defend my views but I will go further and make a few predictions which I am interested to see if they will come true, time will tell but I almost assume that this book will be dismissed as anti-American propaganda if not something worse. Some journalists and reviewers will undoubtedly speculate in public that I am in the pay of the Russians or Chinese Intelligence Services and shout fake news at the top of their lungs. Others will refuse to face the facts and dismiss what I write without even checking and quite a few more will not read the book and still dismiss it, howling in disgust.

I was wrong, it was much worse.

In the time since this book was published in August 2017, I saw first-hand how conservative books and messages can be suppressed. The pattern is clear and yes, I have all the evidence I need to state what I am stating. First, all the US-based conservative websites approached to help spread the book refused or ignored the warnings. When I advertised the GMJ Books on Facebook the first ads took a few minutes to be approved. Then suddenly it became 13 hours and more, thereby messing up the advertising plan. Clearly, someone was thinking hard about whether to approve the ads or not and I have considerable experience with Facebook advertising, that was not normal behaviour. After the extended time to approve, the ads were refused and as always, no reasons given. That too is typical of large media companies, the red tape is designed to be as arrogant as can be because they get away with it, they have a dominant market share and abuse it to propagate their own agendas, usually liberal and against conservatives. You may read my Facebook page where I left cryptic notes - https://www.facebook.com/georgemjamesbooks regarding Code Name Alphabet 32 where the ad was refused (that ended my relationship with Facebook). Code Name Alphabet 32 was written to help reduce date rape, in the book I explain the symptoms, the treatment, and the ad was to give the book away free of charge on certain days at Amazon. My purpose was to prevent date rape during the festive season, the book itself is about the Makopa anti-tank missile. Yet, the ad was refused and to this day no one can say why but they did afterwards send me many emails to remind me that I can boost the post to reach more people (I am not kidding, I kept the emails). It was not the first time that paid ads are blocked nor is Facebook alone guilty. If you care to read Code Name Bella Dawn you will see how Kindle Scout sabotaged that book by changing the manuscript, leaving the parts out that made Barack Obama look like a fool. Sufficient to say that I will never deal with Kindle Scout again. Nor are authors treated equally at Amazon. When Hillary R Clinton published her apologist book, What happened? - Amazon most generously wiped out the thousands of negative lower ratings and left only four or five-star ratings, artificially increasing the value of the book. I assure you, that is not done for conservative authors and never will be. Someone marks your book as a negative one-star rating, and there it stays forever, end of argument as far as they are concerned.

The sad part about suppressing these books is that Americans are going to die because the warnings are not reaching them. They are going to continue to live in their dream world of having superior arms until they find out the hard way that they don’t and were lied to. In normal countries, such actions are called suppression of free speech and not permissible nor tolerable. It deeply troubles and saddens me to see the Beacon of Freedom that for so long was the guiding light to the world, going down this path without a fight. What also came out from the comments on the Facebook page was the utter hatred of America from other parts of the world, even NATO countries. I was shocked and blocked many commentators, but their comments were in general utterly negative, utterly hateful and downright troubling. And all this just because I am daring to debunk an American (NATO also) military myth called QME or the Qualitative Military Edge Doctrine.

The QME is something that every US General, Admiral, Congressman, Senator, President and Citizen holds as the holy grail of American Military Power and has been doing so for many years (also included here is NATO, Western Militaries, note, I don’t mean the US alone, this is the last time I am saying so - the name is used because the US Military is NATO, not the other way around). It comes down to stating in simplified terms that the US Military has better technology and better training and because of this, they will have the edge against any numerically superior enemy, i.e. Russia, China, whoever, if a shooting war should break out. That is the myth and it is heard constantly in the mainstream media and everywhere else, seen as fact as much as the sun will rise in the east tomorrow. It is taken for granted that in any future military confrontation, the QME will ensure victory for the US and NATO. It is further believed that wild out of control spending is necessary: US defense capabilities are and will remain second to none, and now because of the new defense budget of $700 billion our military will be far stronger than ever. White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders, 2 March 2018. Yep, rubbish in history, rubbish in real life, rubbish in general. The world outside the US smirked derisively, they know better. In history, we saw it in Nazi Germany, the slogan was We will win because we must win. Yep, they did not, you need more than a patriotic We are the good guys answer to everything in life (a World War Two myth exposed in Code Name Alphabet 32). You need to know your enemy or life tends to be very unfair in combat.

Patriotism and patriotic dismissals of bad news are dangerous when not based on facts. In American Military Might – Debunked, this book, I destroy the QME and show you how ridiculous it is to put your hopes on spending without positive returns, what are you getting for your money? You will see how poorer countries are building better weapons for much less costs and you will wonder how on earth that is even possible. Facts do not care whether you prefer Made in America products or not, the question is: What is the best right now? This is not a subjective opinion but objective, we look at facts and facts only. Bluntly put, if your aviators or pilots ever face the South African Denel V3E Agile Darter SRAAM in combat (see Code Name Blue Tang), they are dead. If they are in tanks and the Makopa anti-tank missile is launched at them (see Code Name Alphabet 32), they are dead. Yes, an African country with better military technology in crucial areas than the mighty US of A and NATO combined, it is shocking, absurd and yet true. And none of these weapons is exported to anyone that is an ally of the USA. Think about that.

I was shocked to read the other day that some of the most popular South African authors say that they have no messages to the readers in their books, they write for entertainment only. I am not like that and I am most certainly not part of the South African author scene and with no desire ever to be. Frankly, I find books without messages to be shallow and without purpose, written for sheep by sheep, an insult in some way. Perhaps because I started off as a non-fiction writer, I am different in writing style, I always have messages in my books and that is by design and not by chance. I want the knowledge inside my books distributed, I want people to think about what they just read and the books to be of practical value besides being good entertainment. Curiously, many times after a GMJ Book is published, that what is revealed is published in the media or hastily denied. I must also warn, I am not a mainstream author and my books are not politically correct. I never had any problem in calling a spade a spade before in any of my books and no intention of being politically correct now. That is not my style as anyone that read my books before, will know. If I may be brutally frank with you since I would fail myself and my late wife, an American Patriot of the best kind, if I do not warn outright, you will read here how politicians are writing checks that the US Military cannot cash anymore, shocking as that may be and is. There is no QME anymore, period. The reverse is true. The rest of the world not only caught up with you technology wise but overtook you in many fields, very important ones, and I will prove this statement time after time in this book, there is no QME anymore, it is a myth. What you do with that knowledge, is your own concern but I wish to state on record that I am not in the pay of any intelligence agency, service or whatever of that nature. I am though concerned, I am concerned in what I see and what I found out the last few years and tried to warn, many times in many books, blogs and on websites. I will stand up and further warn on what is wrong from a counter-terrorism viewpoint with the War on Terror, and if that brings a backlash from certain people, well, so be it. I would though ask you to read this book in the same light as Winston S Churchill once warned on Nazism and Fascism in the 1930s, a lone voice, not listened to, and we know what happened then.

The bubble continues. We warned often enough and yet it seems that the White House / Pentagon bubble is alive and well: America has the best equipment anywhere in the world, Donald J Trump declared proudly in August 2018, vowing to replace the aging tanks, aging planes and ships, with the most advanced and lethal technology ever developed. He lives in a dream world. Even the most cursory glance at what is revealed in the GMJ Novels will tell you what utter crap that statement is. America is by far not leading or having the best equipment. Not even close. She is on the decline as an Empire, end of story and the list of where she lacks is shocking: Missile technology of all types, SRAM and anti-tank missiles included, artificial intelligence, artillery of all classes, CIWS, drones of all types above and below the surface, tanks, an ageing fleet of aircraft and ships, obese and incompetent soldiers with combat readiness figures below that of the Fifth World, no genuine intelligence community and more. I hope I am not alive to see her coming humiliation which is certain unless something is done and that will start by waking up to reality. This is no time for ostrich politics, ignoring facts will not save the lad on the ground, the QME is gone, lost in many fields, but it can be recovered, all is not gloom and doom. Winston S Churchill said of Americans: Their national psychology is such that the bigger the Idea, the more wholeheartedly and obstinately they throw themselves into making it a success. It is an admirable characteristic provided that the Idea is good. But let me begin by who I am, I am the author of a series of counter-terrorism books, written in fictionalized format for reasons which will be clear when you read them and I write under a pseudo name because it is needed for my own safety, the so-called GMJ Books or GMJ Series. I am an expert on counter-terrorism and counter insurgency operations in sub-Saharan Africa, a military and war historian and published author of 55 books at the time of writing. My books are widely read among military veterans of many nations and most certainly many agree with my views which may be odd to you because I don’t believe in the OMG it is Patton or Montgomery School of Thought. I believe in Mr Reagan’s dictum of Trust but Verify.

Unlike the GMJ Series, this is a book which is not fiction and does not claim to be fiction as far as the statistics and my opinions are involved, it is accurate to the date it was published. However, I sincerely hope that in the future this book will be proven wrong, the conclusions wrong and the statistics changed around by hard work to reflect the way I want them to reflect, positive to the West and NATO (including the USA). But for now, the numbers are not positive. The US Military is not as powerful as the myth says and if this myth is called, and it very well might be in the future, what then? Let us stop the patriotic chatter and look at facts realistically. I cringe when I see the Chinese, Russians and many others smirk politely at my late wife’s people (especially US UN Ambassador Nikki Haley whose near constant threats of military action they see as a joke, they are not overly concerned), it is sad. They know, have no doubts, they know that the QME is gone. They fancy their chances and before you dismiss angrily what I just wrote, read this book. They have much reason for their arrogance.

The very first chapter is dedicated to perception and counter-terrorism. It is that important. Reading here, you will then understand, I hope, how dangerous it is to write checks that cannot be cashed, you look weak and thus open for attack, it is already happening. Israeli Major General Yaakov Amidror, a former national security adviser to Prime Minister Netanyahu, said it well when speaking of the December 2018 US withdrawal or intention to do so, from Syria: Another issue is US credibility. Alas, the US president is following the path of his predecessor, who explained that ‘credibility’ has no importance. In my opinion, both Obama and Trump are mistaken. A superpower without credibility loses part of its capabilities. The US, which is abandoning the Kurds to their fate and exposing them to the revenge of the Turks, the Syrians and perhaps even the Iranians, will be perceived in the region as having lost credibility. The US will be viewed as abandoning its allies, and therefore in future potential allies will think twice about relying on and partnering with the US. In my opinion, it will soon be evident in more than a few countries that they feel stabbed in the back by the US. The first to feel this backlash will be Jordan, which is also the closest to the frontlines and will now be directly facing the Iranians. I don’t agree with the US Military staying illegally on in Syria, let that be known, but with the perception / credibility views I agree completely.

I assure you, your many enemies across the world are looking for any weakness and finding a great many. It really is of crucial importance to understand how perception can damage you or save you and currently the negative perception is very damaging, the Obama years were frankly a disaster for counter-terrorism. This too I will highlight and albeit described in places in a fictional way, the conclusions and the history are totally true, not fiction. That is what is said among intelligence analysts but not loud enough. Some readers will react furiously and others will cheer, that is the nature of a book like this, there is no neutrality here and should be none. You will either be enlightened or you will be disturbed enough to do something about it afore more youngsters die. It is infuriating to me, every death is because of wrong tactics, Generals unable to cope and too proud to admit so – the answer is not, repeat not, a surge but to wake up and understand counter-terrorism / counter insurgency. If you cannot get the job done with a few thousand men, you have already lost the war and should go home. Nothing good will come further from using soldiers as live bait or killing two innocents for every known terrorist and then you don’t know what precision strikes are, the drones have a success rate of 3.5%, that is beyond pathetic. The nonsense sprouting from the Pentagon and White House is not believed anymore, you have lost the high moral standing you claim, years ago.

I also warn, don’t underestimate that what you don’t know or be dismissive of what is different from your own views without looking at the facts objectively. I found that when people hear Africa they dismiss whatever comes further. In this book, you will find out that a country called South Africa is leading the world in air-to-air missiles, anti-tank missiles, radio communications, landmine proof vehicles, artillery and has a Special Forces Brigade with a much higher Selection failure rate than any US or NATO based Unit. In fact, they say straight that US Navy SEALs and Green Berets are low percentage units and that is not something that goes over well because it is part of the QME Myth to believe the opposite, yet, the statistics prove this statement beyond any doubt. I say again, do not take too lightly what you don’t know, the South African manufactured weapons, better than yours, are being sold to your enemies. You may well face them one day and remember my warnings. This is not a normal African country, it is one that built its own nuclear weapons by 1978 already and totally unique, not with Israeli assistance as the rumour goes, read my book Code Name Angel for more details.

During my research, I found a worrying reluctance to face hard facts from most Westerners. You find individuals, they are deplorable, unable to debate other views than their own. Historically that is typically a liberal left-wing liability, unless you agree, you will be called names and slandered - anything from homophobia, islamophobia, racist, right-wing, conservative, whatever sounds good and is insulting. The right-wingers and more conservative people than liberals, go for the patriotic type of argument I described above with the Nazi Germany example, not based on facts and easily disproved when objectively looked at. You need more than spending money wildly, a lot more. The final question though, when the personal insults are dismissed as opinions, something every man has and not highly rated by me to begin with, is this: Objectively speaking, am I wrong in what I have to say to you? Yes? or No?

The above question can only be answered once the book is read and crosschecked by yourself as I invite you to do. I have excellent reasons and evidence why I say anything in any book. I am proud that I have always been accurate in my books when it comes to history, weapon systems and policy analyses. Under my real name I am far more famous for writing non-fiction, counter-terrorism, military history and legal books including an autobiography that made some waves and downloaded by the tens of thousands. Because I am detail orientated, there is a lot of research in my books, even the fictionalised ones of which certain parts of them are not fiction at all. As background, the first question I asked myself before typing here, was under which name should I write this book? Should I go back to my roots and publish under my own name where I have a good reputation on this field or under my pseudo name? It took a couple of days of hard thinking as well as prayer before I made the decision to stay with George M James because of the GMJ Series of books from where this one comes from. If not for the GMJ Series, this book would never have seen the light of day, it is that simple and there is a link between all of them, they contain the warning or messages and always did. In law, we will say "cessante ratione legis cessat ipsa lex. That means that if the reason for the law disappears, so does the law." Say for instance, an example only, that a fellow is paying child support as he should and then, most sadly, the child dies. He stops paying the child support, the reason for the law / the court order, ended, thus the law ended. The mom cannot now keep on claiming child support for a child that is with God and not her, his needs are taken care of by our Father in heaven. The above example happened, the court dismissed her claim. Based on the above legal dictum which is standard everywhere, Julius Assange is being held illegally by the British Government. When the rape charge against him was dropped, he should have been free to walk out of the embassy he is hold up in. But we know that some pigs are more equal than others. Note, I am not a fan of Assange and say so in many novels. Here, because of the GMJ Books and the research that went into each, I realised that a great need to educate and at the same time to warn most seriously exists. I started thinking on how to debunk popular military myths and to do so I will reach into my books where the answers lay but not lifted out into the spotlight.

My modus operandi is simple and straightforward, I am going to take many passages from the different GMJ Books, quote them for you (the same passage may be repeated but I tried not to do that enough to be annoying), and discuss them in greater detail where needed. Therefore, this is not a story book. It not written as a continuous story and an interesting experiment to me as well although I know of at least one other book written in the same way. The passages that are highlighted are designed to bring my warnings, explanations, and current intelligence analyses over to you. Sometimes they take the form of a discussion between the characters. I could have made this book much longer, we reveal other things of interest in the books following this one, but where do you draw the line? This was harder than what I thought since context is always important but to do it in any other way would be dishonest in my opinion. I feel that a man should stand by what he previously wrote or said unless of course proven wrong and I was wrong here and there. When I wrote the first book, Code Name VFO565, I stated in a moment of distraction or something that the Soviet Dragunov sniper rifle has the same calibre as the AK47, that was plain wrong, the Dragunov has what is known as the Soviet 30-06 calibre, and I rectified my mistake immediately when pointed out that the AK47 has the much smaller intermediate round. How I made that mistake, I am trained in both weapons and used them often enough in real life, I don’t know, I can only smile and apologise. When you write close to 4 million words in less than three years, I suppose, something must give.

I also ask, don’t come to me with statistics like: We have 800 Apache attack helicopters and will shoot down your 15 Rooivalk attack helicopters even if we take some losses because you have just proven to me you don’t get my messages. Let me spell it out again to you because it is important. No one, least of me, is saying to you a country like South Africa is able to win a conventional war against the US without Chinese and Russian help (which may or may not be there and they have the technology and manpower to back them far beyond what we can do), this book is to expose military myths that are stated night and day on television and your likely enemy would not be a small country like South Africa albeit you will suffer the same fate that the British Empire did during the years of 1899 to 1902 if you ever try your luck. Facing say Russia, China and others, you are outnumbered by many factors and you don’t have the QME anymore, so it is a stupid argument. In fact, I speak to such people, the accepted QME Holy Grail is known by your enemies to be fallacious but you perhaps don’t know because you are not told, books like this one are rare enough. Because this book is not written by an American nor a Russian or Englishman, it is fairly neutral. We look for facts objectively, patterns and history and from that, deductions are made that you can either agree or disagree with but leave the pointless patriotic arguments for the barbeque fire. You may be sure, you better know your history and facts when writing to me, I am detail orientated by nature and will ask for your facts but I am curious also to hear your views. It is not a crime to have different views and I respect that. Some of my most loyal readers are those arguing their points most fiercely. But let us not forget something here, the purpose of this book is not to stir name calling. Remember what I said a few pages before on the Nazi Germany slogan: We will win because we must win. Well, they did not and that was due in no small part to American know-how, fighting men, and above all, belief system. Yet, there are many myths about the Second World War too, that I expose, especially that the UK was alone in 1940, utter rubbish, the British Empire was also there and per capita, took more losses. Saying anything else is an insult to us. I can give you another example of fake history, just a few nights ago I heard the Iraqi Prime Minister say that the CIA created the Taliban – in my book, Code Name One Alpha, I dispel that particular myth - it is a half-truth we hear often on lamestream media. We need to examine facts, to admit a genuine problem where a genuine problem exists and to hopefully act on it since it is there. It is ridiculous to attack the messenger personally, that will not help matters nor change anything. What if I am correct and many seem to think I am?

Since I am asked at times, the name George M James is a code, a pseudo name to include my late wife’s initials. I wrote the first GMJ Book (Code Name VFO565) a few months after the unexpected passing of my wife, in 2014. Since then we published dozens of GMJ Books, all with a specific theme to enlighten the reader on current issues, from hostage rescues (Code Name Wrangler) to counter-snipers (Code Name Butterfly) to counter maritime terrorism (Code Name Willow Bay & Code Name Caribbean). All GMJ Books are translated to Chinese unlawfully (no royalties to me, shrug) and read at Eastern Military Academies. I know because I got emails from some of them. But ask yourself why they do that? What do they see in the GMJ Books to do that? I expose their shenanigans in sub-Saharan Africa, and I will do so here as well, you have every reason to be concerned but I will get to that later. Many of my books are used as training material for SWAT Teams and other units. Once again, I have emails to that effect and I don’t mind, not at all. If my books can save a life somewhere why not? To be honest, writing the GMJ Books kept me sane. I left many secret codes for my late wife in the books to smile about, they are not revealed to anyone that did not know her so don't ask. It is further no use to ask me which book to read first, they deal with various scenarios, if interested say in the role of drugs in warfare, read Code Name Green 41 and Code Name Celery 50. If interested in the South African Nuclear Weapons Program and lost nukes, read Code Name Angel, and so it continues, I like them all.

Yet, there was a dark side to the GMJ Books. I began to appreciate the lack of knowledge, plain old arrogance and then that what my research showed was unbelievable. I crosschecked many times, shaking my head in disbelief as the lies came to the fore. Men of my age grew up during the Cold War, I once believed the myth, the QME, but my research showed something else entirely. In this book as in others, I will go down history lane and show you that NATO never, repeat, never, had air superiority in the 1980s. It is shocking for me that fought communism wherever I could find it and served with pride in our theatre. Without air superiority you are dead, you cannot possibly win a war and you will not and yet, NATO never had it in the 1980s. This shocked me so much that I wrote Code Name Blue Tang around the IRIS-T & Denel Dynamics V3E Agile Darter SRAAM and that is just one of many lies that came to the fore. Since we are quoting from the books, I must explain what they are about, the characters etc. or the selected passages would make no sense to you. The GMJ Books are for those loving military history, espionage, romance, special forces and covert operations with a strong South African flavour but they deal with international intrigue. They are especially important for those in the USA and other West European Countries, it is you that have a terrorism problem, not us here in Africa or not where I am anyway.

You will learn a lot from reading GMJ, I am told that often by readers, thank you. The books are realistic, dealing with modern operations and weapon systems in southern Africa. It is a place you should be taking note of – this is where the new battles are going to take place for reasons that I discuss in the Intelligence Briefing. Up until January 2019, I attached the often-mentioned Intelligence Briefing to every GMJ book at the request of many readers. It was a good idea. However, the briefing grew relentlessly in length to keep up with the latest Washington / London irrationalities / shenanigans designed to keep the US at perpetual war. The extra length added to the printing costs. It had to be updated once a month and all of the books reloaded on various websites. This placed an enormous burden on me, days of doing nothing else. The only logical solution was to create a separate book for the intelligence briefing combined with some of the expert political / military analysis to be found in the GMJ Series, i.e. on the MI6 / Ukrainian Skripal false flag operation, Jamal Khashoggi murder, the Niger Ambush and much more of interest to GMJ readers. And so, I created a lengthy book on its own. Since the intelligence contained is of a strategic nature and deliberately not tactical, it will be relevant in the foreseeable future. The warnings contained in this briefing are frightening for the US and NATO, logically set out, proven and, sadly, not fiction. The Reality: I’ll never forgive Barack Obama for what he did to our United States military by not funding it properly. It was depleted. It was old and tired, and I came in and I had to fix it, and I’m in the process of spending tremendous amounts of money, so I’ll never forgive him for what he did to our military. This book is a painful read for those believing that victory is a certainty and that the good guys will always win. For decades the US and NATO depended on the QME or Qualitative Military Edge Doctrine to ensure victory. What the doctrine comes down to is that the Western Militaries have better technology and better training and because of this, they will have the edge against any numerically superior enemy, i.e. Russia, China. That is the myth that is repeated constantly in the mainstream media and everywhere else, seen as facts and based on this myth, miracles are expected. But there is no technical advantage anymore. The rest of the world overtook the US and NATO in many military (and important) spheres as described in this book. Wild and out of control spending on inflated military budgets are also held as the holy grail to victory: We are outspending everyone else by a very large margin, several times, hence, we must win. This is nonsense in real life. What are you getting for the money handed out by the taxpayer? The Pentagon does not even know where the money goes to.
