20 Reasons Why Donald Trump Is NOT Making America Great Again - Peter Carrie
Introduction
President Trump, when he was running for president the first time, resurrected Ronald Reagan’s slogan, Make America Great Again . It captured the imagination of his followers and it appeared on hats and shirts everywhere. At his rallies, thousands of people wore the hats and shirts while chanting slogans like, Lock her Up!
(referring to Hillary Clinton using a personal email account while Secretary of State) and Send her back!
(referring to an American citizen and member of the US Congress, with Somali descent, who opposed Trump).
For the 2020 election, President Trump has revised his slogan. It is now:
Keep America Great!
So... apparently, America was not great in 2016 before he took office. But, in the last two years, it has become so. Not only did Trump suddenly make us great in two years, but now we have to keep it that way. Translation: Trump has succeeded in making America great and we must keep him in office in order to preserve our greatness.
While these slogans can be dismissed as being campaign hype, much like a harmless campaign button, I think it speaks to a much greater issue. It is true that America is a great Democracy. We are a powerful, great Republic. We command the respect of much of the world, and we are the one lone super power fighting for freedom, individuality, creativity, ingenuity, and freedom of the human spirit.
Why then, are the Republican followers of Trump thinking we are not great? And more importantly, what would lead them to think that we are somehow greater under this president? What does President Trump represent that makes us greater than what we were?
This pamphlet identifies, in a very basic and brief sense, the concerns of having Donald Trump in a position of power and asks these simple questions:
• Is Donald Trump doing anything to bring American’s together?
• Is Donald Trump providing a hopeful and positive vision for this country in a way that addresses the looming challenges we face in the next 40 years?
• Is Donald Trump good for Democracy and the best guardian of our Constitution, and of our American ideals?
• Is Donald Trump respected in the world and worthy of leading the greatest Super Power in the world?
In short, is Donald Trump and the way he behaves and governs, truly making us great?
This booklet is not intended only for Democrats or liberals. It is written for all Americans, because we need to come together as a nation to lead in the world and secure our security and way of life. To ensure our country continues to thrive, we need leadership that provides that vision to our citizens as well as to the rest of the world.
Finally, this booklet is meant to summarize and remind the reader, as to the reasons why Donald Trump is a danger to our country and needs to go. With all of the conflicting messages, the propaganda, and the constant scandals, it is easy to forget all that has happened over the past three years. What follows is a list of twenty reasons (including the conclusion) why Donald Trump needs to go!

Abandoning Our Allies and Freeing Terrorists
I t feels like we’re abandoning our closest ally in the fight against ISIS, and we’re abandoning them to a fate that is going to end very poorly for them,
said U.S. soldier, Marty Palmer. To completely abandon
a force that has given thousands of lives for this conflict is really tough to watch.
