The Tricksy Treasure - Lois Eighmy
I Have A Tale To Tell
Captain Sahmi Zamada gathered his men about him. They had been waiting breathlessly for days to hear the tale he was about to tell them. His son, Pedro, had hinted at a beautiful blue lagoon, an assassin, and something about a treasure map. They begged him for details, but he refused, even under duress by tickling.
Now, a week later, they were anchored in Ynn Wharf on one of the smaller islands, called Sanlow, in the tropical island chain known as the Sandy Keys. The aborigines inhabiting the islands were friendly with the Prospero and her crew, and the sheltered cove was the ideal place for the crew and passengers to rest for a few days.
Gather 'round, gentlemen—
Captain Zamada tipped his hat toward Kythaela Mourningdoom, the daughter of his Elvin navigator, Gorduin, —and lady.
He winked, and the young woman nodded with a demure smile. I have a tale to tell of paradise, of danger, of a stolen map, and of an illusive treasure.

he patted Pedro's head as the boy sat near his feet, whittling on a fat piece of wood with a sharp knife. —a tale of enemies working together for a common cause. Only—
he paused and slowly looked around at the faces eagerly awaiting the start of his tale. He shrugged.
What?
Garrom Bitterbeard, the dwarven sailor, muttered. Have ye so soon forgotten yer recent ‘venture, cap’n? Maybe we ought to set ye up in a nice, comfy room at thee Westerview Home fer thee Old and Infirmed!
The crew laughed, and Sahmi laughed with them. Finally, he raised his hands to silence them.
"I remember every bit of it in minute detail, my good dwarf, and I will deign to tell it to you now. If you remember our recent trip to the Isle of Aladraar, you’ll recall that Pedro and I took holiday in a location known only to me, while the Prospero went on to Gaayabaar—.
Taking A Holiday
Captain Sahmi Zamada rowed the small boat while Pedro asked a never-ending string of questions.
Can’t you tell me anything about where we’re going to?
Pedro asked after receiving no definitive answers to any of
