Breathing in the fresh sea air, I looked around me at everyone dressed up as pirates and smiled.
My dad Steve, 64, and I came to the Pirate Festival in Brixham, Devon, every year, and we performed as duo.
We’d find a spot, set up and busk together, acapella.
But since the age of 10, I’d suffered with horrible unexplained pain.
I thought it was a result of sleeping funny, or maybe a pulled muscle.
Osteopaths and chiropractors kept it under control as I grew up.
But in August 2018, I was finally diagnosed with functional neurological disorder (FND) – a medical condition which means there’s a problem
