Royce Benoit was sitting on a comfortable, over-stuffed leather chair in one of the staff break rooms, brushing through his lion's mane of hair and making little tsk tsk sounds every time he encountered a knot. He was the incredibly handsome young event planner for the Swirl Resort—a biracial fellow from France who looked like he could have been picked right out of a fancy underwear commercial if it wasn't for his untamed mass of naturally kinky hair that floated just above his shoulders like a barely tamed encolure.

His partners in crime were sitting across the room from him, waiting for him to start talking. There was the sprite and sexy Christine Scripps: a beautiful little country white girl born and raised in Alabama, Christine had shed her southern roots in order to become a master pianist and the co-owner of the controversial Swirl Resort. Her partner in crime was Jerome Harris, a light-skinned man black enough to make Christine's Alabama neighbors blush. Jerome was a former gigolo. Extremely well-educated, he got out of that side of the business and became a co-owner wth Christine, putting his excellent education and his MBA to good use managing the many men at the Swirl Resort. Also in the room was Robert Lorenzo, the head chef for the resort. Robert was a really interesting man with an amazing life history—a former doctor, Robert left the medical business to pursue his culinary passions.
