- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5PSC review: If you buy no other book in the Dangerous Jobs series, consider this one. Young boys wanting military books outnumber the books by far. This is the first book that is NOT about the army, navy, or air force. The Coast Guard is so often overlooked in military books for young kids, but this book really focuses on an important job the Coast Guard does. Occasionally, we hear of dangerous rescue missions on the news and here is a book to supplement the news. Just making it through the training makes the Coast Guard rescue swimmers an elite group. First, second and third graders will enjoy this title.
